just because something is anticipated doesn't mean people will buy it; their myspace streaming set all sorts of records yet the album didn't exactly set the world on fire in the US- i for one am looking forward to them touring this album but so far has anything been confirmed, and if so, when do tix go on sale?
Tickets for the Japanese shows go on sale on October 3rd.
/jarmo
So it's confirmed?
Somebody asked
when
tickets go on sale, and I answered it.
That's
all
I answered.
No, the shows haven't been confirmed by GN'R and/or management at this moment.
/jarmo
What are they afraid of?

The only reason I could see the band waiting this long, and it has been long, to confirm these dates is that there is going to be some type of "bigger picture" type of announcement.
As soon as the pieces of whatever else they are trying to put together fall into place, I'm sure we'll get our tour announcement.
Well, what do you think the bigger things will be ? Please share.....
I heard rumors, and dont take this to heart as anything can happen, that the stage show that Axl is putting together is going to be the biggest thing he's done so far. I heard there's going to be stage musicians (Horns/Orchestra) accompanying the band. Huge, right?
Personally, I cant effing wait!
I hope not. I mean GNR always works best when its just a stripped down Rock and Roll band. Hated when they did the backup singer / strings section thing back during the illusion era. They dont need it.

that's just a matter of tastes. I honestly think that the biggest highlight in GNR history was the November Rain's performance at the VMA's in 1992, where there was a full symphonic orchestra, backing vocals, horns, and three keyboards...

It's not going to be like the UYI tours. More along the lines of what they did for NR at the VMAs in 92. Think about how amazing that would be for songs like Prostitiute, November Rain, This I Love, Madagascar, etc...
This is the blog of jazz trumpeter Ashley Morgan.
Here are the facts...
"I don?t know Axl Rose personally but recent occurrences in my other life have resulted in a potential crossing of paths. A forthcoming Guns N? Roses world tour, perhaps in 2010 or 2011, if my usually reliable sources are to be believed, and will take the form of a lavish stadium show, complete with a full orchestra. Due to my connections, for which I am ever thankful, one of the trumpet chairs in that orchestra may have my name on it."

WHAT?!?! No DOWN ON THE FARM!?!?
Shitty survey. And I hope they stop using that skull logo with the guns on both side. There are plenty of new designs to choose from.
Geez-a-lou.
Gosh, how fun would it be if they had a full orchestra? Can you say tour of the year?

Not true
So you might as well stop repeating that "orchestra rumor" right now.
