I doubt it will happen but what would be really cool is if they recorded the shows and put them out on dvd if they do happen much like the Use Your Illusion tour would be nice to have some more GNR music to buy besides ChiDem which most of us here have and would probably satisfy alot of those people already asking for new material.

The same has been said about EVERY GNR show for the past 8 years (dating back to HOB 01).

There was no completed cd in 01.  Axl knows, the band knows and Irv's in charge, he doesn't lose.

There's some more stuff but lets go on from here.  What's past is past and we're moving on.  Now where's those South American dates?

Now pure speculation just for fun.  I am wondering if the delay in the tour was partly due to Axl wanting to start the tour in Japan all along.  Given the title of the album this would not surprise me.    I could see the record companies not wanting to do this as I would think it would be more expensive for the band to tour overseas first then tour in the U.S. or Canada.

I'd have to assume the original plan was to tour this summer since they rehearsed somewhere in the timeframe from February to May.  Unless they were just getting acquainted with DJ and getting in tune with each other.  Whatever the case, this certainly seems to be a good plan.  Fallback or not.  Let's just hope it goes through.

I really hope that this is true, its always amazing to see GNR on tour, especially now when CD has been released. This somehow reminds me the year 2006, when we all waited for Hammerstein ballroom gigs, damn that was a fantastic feeling to watch first video clips from those gigs.. i think that this time it will be same feeling for me.. if this happens.  Lets hope

No the tour is not starting here.  There is a date in Taiwan prior to Japanese shows.

The only reason I could see the band waiting this long, and it has been long, to confirm these dates is that there is going to be some type of "bigger picture" type of announcement.

As soon as the pieces of whatever else they are trying to put together fall into place, I'm sure we'll get our tour announcement.
