I know we all want to know the answers to all those questions and more but I would imagine Jarmo would take a page out of Ron or anyone else from GNR's book and say that it is not his responsibility to make announcements when it comes to GNR management decisions.  The band will let us know when they decide the time is right.

Although I will say this, it seems management tries to keep things private and close to the vest in hopes that they could surprise us fans in some big way.  But technology seems to be 5 steps ahead these days.  Shackler's on Rock Band and the CD release were 2 examples of things we heard about before they were confirmed.  You can't seem to get much by us these days.  Now I don't know if things would've unfolded differently if we weren't tipped off, but you wonder.
