Guns are quite hands on now. If there was anything bad or wrong happening, we would find out quickly.

Mysteron, please dont take this the wrong way, I am not trying to be sarcastic or a dick, promise!  But when did this gnr become "hands on"? We havent heard anything from them since the album came out really of any value. There is already 1 thread that is 77 pages long about a sumnmer tour and there is no info in it what so ever.  Now we have another 5 page thread again about a tour that probably wont happen.  Why does everything with this new version have to be like this?  Either they are touring asia or not, whats the big deal?

And the rest is what Ron called Big Boy stuff.  Contracts, lawsuits, deals, empires, people's jobs and such.  GNR is a big business.

That was the simple view, it's a lot more complicated.

Its not Mysterons job to explain anything. Look at the facts, whenever there is something untrue or false, the thread is either labeled false or deleted. This one hasn't therefore theres something going on, but nothing is official or have been confirmed. Let's just see what happens.

Me too. After the album release I got sick of all this rumor drama and "insiders".

I do hope the rumor turns out to be real. I can't wait to get to hear the new songs played live.

I think this rumor is real, because  9/12 is put on sale tickets and not rejected from the official sector and insiders.

Hopefully it's true and finally begins the tour and maybe a video.

Easiest route for GN'R at this point is denial I guess. And I don't mean that in a smart ass way. If anything is in motion, they've probably learned from the past that it's best to wait til it's all set in stone before saying a word.

Yeah, I wouldn't confirm anything until all the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed and anything else that needs to be done.  I do believe there is something to this proposed show.  But, as is always the case, nothing is guaranteed.  Let's just hope and pray.

But now that there just maybe might be an official "nothing confirmed" (as opposed to a flat-out "False" before the subject line), I'm taking that as a positive sign that they're really really trying/hoping to make this happen.

Depends on the definition of "trying/hoping". Taipei promoters are already runnung ads on TV among other things - basically they are betting on this happening and investing in it. Now, if demands on the other side become unreasonable for reasons that the said side deems them more than reasonable for their self-perceived status, then things may fall through like they have in the past. In the current situation, I hope GN'R actually choose to act humble and smart and give in to whatever just to make this happen and get the ball rolling to keep the band together and restore some public interest in the new album, not just in the greatest hits.
