experience tells us these dates are gonna happen unless something EXTREMELY bad and unexpected happens.

its quite simple. GNR's management historically denied all false dates that were announced almost inmediatly after they popped up.

on the other hand, we have DJ Ashba, Bumblefoot and Fortus saying publicly they are rehearsing.

Plus we have VERY trustable sites announcing the dates: serious companies, official venues websites like the one owned by the mythical Tokyo Dome and even RollingStone.

I dont have doubt about these dates. They are gonna happen. Now I'm really nervous and anxious to know what is the next continent to have Guns playing live.

My brain and also my heart tell me southamerica is next. If AC/DC sold out 2 River Plate stadiums in less than a week, GNR can do that too.

AC/DC SOLD OUT 70,000 very expensive tickets in Brazil in ONE DAY.
2nd concert to be announced.

GNR is much more known than AC/DC here in brazil, probably in argentina too

A tour here in South America would be orgasmatic.

Exactly. I have absolutly no doubt these shows are gonna happen. Why would the band come back to LA to rehearsals?

If the shows were 100% going ahead, why would the band not confirm them so fans know whether they're wasting their money or not, and those who are sitting on the fence can make an informed decision?

Oh wait, to be 'different' and 'not like all the other bands'. How cool and anarchic.  Roll Eyes
Hey everyone, isn't it great how when a GNR gig is announced, you don't know whether its real or not? I love that about them. It's not their music or their performances that I dig - it's the constant uncertainty of whether you're wasting your time, money and airfare that really thrills me.  hihi

I believe our beloved moderator himself has stated on more than one occasion that if information doesn't come directly from the band, we shouldn't trust it.
I hope for you guys sakes these shows go ahead, but personally I'd wait until GNR confirmed the shows themselves - especially given the 2002 European tour that never was...

The dates are genuine as we checked them with the local police in all countries concerned.

I would, however, advise people from overseas to refrain from buying tickets until the concerts are properly confirmed.

Ok, straightforward question for Jarmo, since he finds my suggestion that unconfirmed gigs have a habit of not happening offensive.

If a GNR fan on an average income was thinking of spending, say a very conservative $1500 on getting to one of these Asian shows, would you recommend he did it, or waited until the shows were confirmed by GNR/Axl?

There is no such thing as a guarantee.  If someone is planning trip once the tickets go on sale at a venue it is considered confirmed PERIOD.  If the venue is advertising and selling the tickets this means they have a SIGNED contract.  Can it be canceled...it sure can but that can happen regardless of what the band announces.

Anyone wanting to plan a trip should do so just make sure that the plane tickets and hotels you book you can cancel without penalty.   Most air fares one can receive a flight voucher for latter on.  Yes there is a slight fee but that is the risk.

If someone wants to spend their savings for a chance to see GnR one last time then they can do so and have a blast doing it.

I got standing tickets. Not sure if the standing area will be seated like it has been in the past, but if it is I have front block stage right (block 104 on the seating chart). Looks like standing will be a free-for-all though Smiley

Cool that you guys got tickets.  Cool

Judging by the little I know, it seems to me that many bands skip South Korea when they tour over there. So it's extra cool that you get GN'R!

I think its just cool in general that they are kicking off the tour in the Pac Rim.  Can we get a list of tour dates that we know of so far posted on the website?

Congratulations, South Korean Fans!

Those who got dozens of GNR gigs in their own country might have no idea but
I know some Korean fans travelled to Japan to see the band in 2007.  yes

I got standing tickets. Not sure if the standing area will be seated like it has been in the past, but if it is I have front block stage right (block 104 on the seating chart). Looks like standing will be a free-for-all though Smiley

So, possibly the arena there is not seating? If so, more tempting.... drool

as far as I know 5000 seats are for standing. people who have a early number can enter the stadium early. maybe no.1 to about 100 can watch the show in the first row.
