Love Del's writing. He is one sick puppy. And like Beta I think the guy has a hard job sometimes. But Del's up for the job. lol
Got a hand shake out of the guy in 2006 but never really met him.

I don't think much of him as a writer.
anyone actually meet the guy?  if so, what's he like?

If his slagging off of GNR fans on the official GNR website was anything to go by, I'm not eager to run into him anytime soon.

Del wasn't dissing ALL GnR fans.

IMO if you were offended by what he said, chances are you feel like he was talking about you.

No shit.

It wasn't aimed at the real fans at all..... Just a certain vocal minority.

Del contributed a story in the new Dark Delicacies III:  Haunted called Do Sunflowers Have A Fragrance?

You can order the book at www.darkdel.com

On the left side of the screen *click* on "Dark Delicacies' Own" and the order page comes up  ok

One of my favorite favorite favorite stories of all time is Del's "A Tale of Two Heroines" from The Language of Fear.

**SPOILER ALERT**

Amazing the way he captured the essence of how a mother's love for her child knows no boundaries.  Absolutely Beautiful!!!  Not to sound sexist but I never expected that coming from a story written by a guy!!!  (For guys reading this:  Don't worry, Del hides this 'essence' extremely well behind a lot of sex n' drugs n' violence so 99.9% of youze won't even notice what I'm talking about.)

i met Del In Las Vegas in 2006 in front of the Joint. He was very nice and kind to me. I told him his writing reminded me of Charles Dickens, and that it was a dream come true to meet him because November Rain is my all time favorite video. I may have to get this book with his new short story. A Tale of 2 heroines was my fav story in The Language of fear.

I never really "met" him...but my girlfriend and I spotted Bumblefoot coming outta the hotel in Huntington WV...and we talked for a few seconds with Bumblefoot and I asked him for a picture before he got in the van.  Well...I had a new digital camera in my pocket that was in the little bubble wrap folded wrapper they used to come in.  Well, Del was going to take the picture when I started pulling my camera out...he says "What the fuck....what the fuck do u got in your pocket....guns, cameras, bubble wrap, what the fuck" We all laughed and he goes to take the pic and he says it says replace battery.  Bumblefoot says AWWWWWWWWW MAN...sorry man...see ya at the show.  So it was cool and sucked at the same time lol.

I've never met Del, but I'm sure I walked past him in Las Vegas when GN'R played the Joint in 2006. He has always been at Axl's side so I have nothing but respect and love for the man.  Wink
