I would do one very furious and aggresive video (fast, dynamic, probably with live images) of Riad, and then a monumental, mindblowing/cinematographic november rain-type video for TWAT. These are my choices as fan. From a commercial point of view, I would use ''Scraped'', ''Chinese Democracy'' and ''This I Love'' to make videos for.

there will be no video's were kidding our selves here. who's going to give AXl any money to make a video, or even for that matter a new album!  Listen i think axl is the coolest person  around and yes he is a hero of mine, but we have to stop thinking that there are record people or even fans out there that are going to give money to a band that has continued to do things on there own terms, wether not making deadlines for realeasing albumes, or showing up late or not showing up at all to concerts.

You're absolutely right (but there is a very little chance that the new album will also be named "Chinese democracy")  Grin

(but to be honest I have to admit I didn't read the question right...)

There will be no new singles until the label decides to support Guns N' Roses.

They won't support it until Axl decides to step out in public.

Agreed.

But, Chinese Democracy seems dead from the label's perspective.  They told Billboard they would release a third single.  They never did.  They won't do that now, out of the blue.  In all fairness, the album seems dead from the band's perspective too, as they have done no touring to support it.  They may yet, but touring a year after an album's release won't do much to revive the album from a sales perspective.

I thought that a good potential single would have been TWAT. However, I seriously doubt that anymore singles are going to be released. The momentum for this album is dead and gone. Axl, the record company, and Best Buy blew it. I think the game plan now should be focusing on new material with DJ Ashba and releasing that ASAP. The other alternative is to get the originals back.

On a side note, I saw AC/DC in concert last Friday at Giants Stadium. It was the second time I saw them and they rocked it out! I just wish that Axl could have gotten his act together and done the same this summer. It would have been nice to see him rock Giants Stadium as the days of that landmark comes to a close.

I guess you don't want GN'R to play live and tour behind this album then.

That's fine. Nobody's forcing you to go once they do tour.

Some of you spent XX years whining about there not being an album. Then you abandoned it after three-six months saying it was dead and GN'R needs to put out a new album.

For me, the album isn't even close to being dead or forgotten at this point.

Can't wait to see them play those songs live in front of people who share that excitement.

If we're going to see a new single out, it won't be until the band is ready to tour.   Singles are usually released to help sales wth an album or if the band is touring to help promote the tour.  Hopefully we'll see a tour soon.

Why would you assume he wouldn't want to see GNR live!!!?? I'd much rather have a new album, and would like that to be the focus of GNR, BUT if that doesn't happen, then ya I'm all for another CD tour!!!! Anything to do with GNR is awsome, but a night at a GNR show compared to a new GNR album!!? come on, most will pick a new album....whats wrong with that? Doesn't meen I like GNR any less, i'm still going to love seeing them live!! any true fan would love that with or without a new album, but because in less than 4months the albums a year old and hasn't had any tours/videos,promo,etc, isn't it only natural to speculate that they could be creating new music, especially with the addition of DJ who's a songwriter.!!?

What's wrong with it?

We got an album, and as far as I know, the band isn't done with it yet. Unlike some of you.

So if you managed to live years and years without a new album, maybe you should hold that thought and save it for later.... In the meantime, go put on Chinese Democracy and enjoy.
