I'm glad he at least addressed GN'R.  But, he doesn't sound certain about GN'R doing anything later this year.  I suppose that could be for several reasons, or he could be just playing it off and not addressing the situation directly.  Bumblefoot will be done touring with Lita Ford early next month.

Yeah, but wont they need some time to hype it up and sell tickets?  Unless they are just doing a couple dates here and there, I dont really see anything substantial happening in 2009.  Also, going by Franks "Hopefully, God willing, we'll be up and running again soon..." comment, it sounds like they dont even know what to expect any time soon.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but that's just how it sounds right now.  But really who knows.  I guess anything can happen, should Axl want it to.

If you read what I wrote more carefully, you'll see that I never used the word "tour" in reference to GN'R.  I said GN'R doing "anything", as in rehearsing, recording, etc.

I guess that's true.  For all we know, November could see the release of another album like Axl hinted last December.  I have to say, touring in November/December in the midst of CD-2 would more than make up for the silence in the first 3 quarters of the year.  It would really give the fans and the band a lot to celebrate.  Lets cross our fingers!
