hihi hihi hihi hihi

I see what u did up there.

That is people's attitude and it drives me nuts.

why can't somebody  just not like something? How come they have to be not as "Sophisticated" or "look at me, I am the smartest guy in the world because I love this stuff nobody else does and their intelligence doesn't allow them to get it.

I just don't like the 3 main actors..... I don't connect with them or think they are very funny. Jerry is cool but the rest no

Nah.....in the prior post you made it seem like what you said was a cold hard fact.

Obviously they are YOUR opinions, but for the love of Flea, don't make it seem like your opinions are cast in stone and everyone must abide by them.

OH!  It's funny that you would only like Jerry, considering he was the worst actor out of the four!

I didn't "get" the show either up until two years ago when I was sidelined with a bout of tonsilitis.  I gave the show a chance and I liked it.  The show doesn't even try to be pretentious, unless you think anything associated with Manhattan is pretentious.

So it took tonsilitis for u to be able to watch it. Must have been the fever.

Everything I say is stone cold fact to me. I don't tip toe with opinions. If I think something sucks, I am going to tell u I think it sucks.

I find nothing appealing about the little bald dude or Kramer. Maybe its cause I hated their characters in Pretty Woman and Problem Child?

It's like Conan O Brien. U have these people who are like "Oh He is just different but brilliant"

I think he is corny and sucks.

Doesn't make me less intelligent or sophisticated, just means I think it sucks.

I hate elitist bullshit in any form.

I didn't have anything else to do, I couldn't go to school or go out.  Besides, I had seen a few episodes (when Costanza and Steinbrenner eat calzones and the one where Kramer goes swimming in the East River) so I figured, what the hell.

Stone cold fact for you, but don't pass it off as a stone cold fact on everyone else.  You don't tip toe, good for you.  That's why no one tip toes with you, because we can tell each other how we feel and no one will get butthurt at the end of the day.  (Some folks excluded, obviously.)

You're using their characters in other films AGAINST them?  That's fresh dude, that's really fresh.  rofl

I like Conan, but I liked him more in the 12:35 slot.  He's just not 11:35 material yet.  But yes, he is different and brilliant.  You don't get it, but a lot of people do.

There's nothing elitist about Seinfeld.  They were just four regular people hanging out.  They were not wealthy, you could tell by their living conditions and attire even.  Their hangout was a standard old cafe.

I'm a huge fan of Seinfeld, and I don't consider myself any more sophisticated because of it by any means...

I don't think its a "Get It" or "Don't Get It" issue either... Its either you like the style of comedy or you don't, plain and simple!

Back on topic, I've never seen Curb, but I will check this out one way or another!

Yeah I think the comment "either you get it or don't get it" was taken the wrong way.  It's more either you like it or you don't.  You don't have to be sophisticated to like Seinfeld, nobody's saying that, I don't think.  It's a brand of humor that some people just aren't into.  I love it personally and agree it's the best sitcom EVER!!!  Obviously I GET IT!   hihi  Just kidding, I like it.

It took me awhile to get into Curb Your Enthusiasm though.  My friend would always tell me how good it was and I never really gave it a chance until recently.  It's hilarious though.  Most of the story lines are exactly like the ones in Seinfeld, just with adult content.

"either you get it or you don't" is only offensive to someone insecure about their intellect.  I hated c.d. and i hear that excuse all the time but i've yet to be offended.

Me.  Loved it.  Set it up perfectly for the rest of the season/Seinfeld reunion.

Seinfeld was and is a great show, one of the greatest ever. I got all the seasons and still laugh the crap out of the Soup Nazi episode  hihi

As for Curb, Iv seen two or three episodes one of them actually starring George Constanza and Elaine Benes, but i though the show was really lame, and just a failed attempt to recreat the seinfeld environment

I'd give it another shot.  It's a hilarious show.  One of my friends got me into it, but it took a lot of convincing.  I was apprehensive and didn't think it could come close to comparing to Seinfeld.  But it's basically the same show, with more adult content.
