I had never heard of the guy prior to the Slash and Friends gig, and from what little footage I've seen, I reckon he could be great. Very powerful voice with a lot of soul. beer

I say they just go with this guy and make an album.  Works the crowd, unknown, but known in rock circles... Bring it.  I want a new album, I want VR... Slash seems to like him, that is a huge part right there.

Maybe the Slash & Friends gig was a bit of Slash testing the waters with him playing live.
I hope they pick him. Sounds like he could have a lot of potential.
