Just watched the Nirvana/GNR performance back to back and it seriously is laughable all these years later that there ever was a "Feud"

that NR is from one of the greatest bands of all time. That performance is so Epic and legendary whereas Nirvana look like a bunch of guys I see playing power chords in their basement and singing out of tune.

Funny what the record companies deem cool init? ...just look at american pop for example!

I think it was a little more than the record companies that liked Nirvana. And I'm not sure what you're comparing there with the "American pop" example. Boy bands?

Kurt was wrong to hate on Ax.

Ax wasn;t trying to demean Nirvana by inviting them to perform as his birthday in 1992, but for an up and coming band with a different sound and a rival for attention, it does seem a lil bit insulting.

Ax invited them to TOUR with the band in 92, not to play a birthday gig.

I've heard the birthday and 2 tour offers were turned down.

YA think the birthday gig was a slap in the face after Kirk turned down the tour offer?

I don't know if he had a particular dislike for any of the others personally. I know that when he escaped from rehab and flew home, he sat next to Duff and they talked.

i think it was ok for nirvana to reject the tour offer if they didnt agree with the "corporate rock" but what i found annoying its that Kurt Cobain started making public displays of him and his band being too cool to play with Guns, and then they started critizising Axl and the band just so they could look like a Revolutionary band or whatever. and in the end his band ended up being a much more corporated band than Guns. (even when he was still alive)

Has anyone ever had a disagreement with someone in high school? Are you still bitter about it today? I think everyone involved in this has probably moved on at this point (except for Kurt of course).

Agreed. If people don't like Nirvana's music, fine, but holding a gru(n)dge about comments from the early 90s....

Imagine if we all stopped listening to bands who've had run-ins and feuds with Axl Rose over the years.... hihi

Kurts problems with Axl as far as I remember were strictly political/personal.  He had a problem with what Axl said in "One in a Million" and a huge problem with the reports of how Axl allegedly treated women.  The jabs he took at them musically were probably just Kurts way of getting under GNR's skin, Kurt had a problem with Axl the person, or actually more importantly the person Kurt thought Axl was, dont think he ever really took the time to actually get to KNOW him, just what he heard about him.

Considering you dislike glam metal id of thought Kurt would of been the second coming of Jesus Christ to you.

Nirvana are alright. Providing its not "that" song being played, i dont find myself wanting to turn it off.

But i dont find myself wanting to seek out their albums from the dusty ruins of my CD rack to listen to them.

I personally think if Kurt were alive today, they probably would of put it behind them. Dave Grohl has. Courtney Love has. Kris has too judging from the way he n Duff mention each other in their own blogs.

I like Guns n Roses, and I like Nirvana. What happened between them doesn't affect us, and is really none of our business. So...whatever about all of that. I like what I like, and if the people that I like don't like each other, it doesn't matter at all.  smoking

Thats understand able kind of like the things that happened with Slash and Axl so I should be cool with it.
