Another show for Dizzy (and Richard depending on which article is accurate)...

August 15

Summer Fest 2009 featuring Natasha Bedingfield, 3 Days Grace, 7 Bridges, Draw the Line, Tessane Chin, Dizzy Reed and Richard Fortis of Guns & Roses and Secret Po Po at the National Stadium. General admission $75, $105 reserved on the field, and $205 VIP. Doors open at 5.30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Go to http://www.bdatix.com/ for tickets.

Apparently Richard will be there.

Last Dizzy show at the Viper Room this month!  Go out and support our favorite keyboard player.

With prices so low, you would be foolish not to go.

The last of the August Saturday night shows is tonight.

Maybe because it's the last Saturday of August....  Wink

Ok so I can't really post a review since they only played for about 20 minutes.  i wonder who the genius was who scheduled so many bands before him?!?
Anyway, it was pretty fun regardless and Fortus played some mean guitar up there too.  Hope to get another chance to see them actually play a full set.  I think Dizzy mostly played his own songs plus a couple covers - Sick as a Dog and Riff Raff.

and as an added bonus, one of the bands that opened had a guest spot from Steven and Slash for It's So Easy and Mama Kin.

Fortus has been working out.  He isn't the Fortus we saw in 2006, Fortus looks like he can rip people's heads off.  His guitar sounded sweet, he had the tone nailed down for Sick as a Dog.  I think it's the same black Les Paul that he uses for Guns tours.

I don't know if I want to add anything else to that.

Dizzy didn't play with Slash or Steven.

they were long gone by then, since that was over 2 hours before dizzy's set!
his set was so short partly because there was so many bands booked before him and they all took their time getting ready to play and what not.  by the time dizzy got set up it was almost last call which was ridiculous because he was the headliner! i hope they don't play the viper room again unless they are guaranteed a 90 minute set somehow.

No GN'R.  Three of them were his solo songs (i think), and two covers.

Aerosmith- Sick as a Dog
AC/DC- Riff Raff
