GNR in RNR Hall of fame..?

Personally I think if Axl wasn't involved than the rest of the guys should just stay away from it too. The Van Halen one felt very half assed but Metallica this past year was great.

Not to sound negative, but GNR being inducted in 2012 or even a few years after that isn't a given. I mean, there are some bands like Iron Maiden, KISS and The Stooges who haven't made it in. Those bands' debut albums came out in 1980, 1974 and 1969 and despite their popularity/influence etc. haven't been inducted.

If/when GNR are inducted, relationships between people might be very different than they are now so it's difficult to speculate what could happen.

As we all know, G'N'R will be eligible for the RNR hall of fame in '12. 

the theory:

They will do a one off reunion show.  However, Axl and Slash steping on the same stage together, to do a soundcheck a couple hours before the show will be the first event in timeline zero, when everything imagineable will happen.  Shortly afterwards, the universe will cease to exist, then, rebirth.  Billions of years later, GNR will reunite and so the cycle repeats.

heres my wild guess...at the rock hall you will see Steven, Slash, Matt and Duff...and MAYBE Izzy...  Instead of GNR tearing the roof off the place like Metallica did, you will see Fergie and the Black eyed Peas do renditions of GNR songs...or something equally lame..

I think it would be weird to get the "new" band to accept it, because at least 80% of the material came with the old lineup, and i don't think Axl's to keen on sharing the same stage as slash

Bands can't be inducted until about 25 years after a bands first album is released, is my understanding, so they wont be eligible until 2012

Hell yeah I think that it would go down like just the old line up would play in the bands they each made for themselfs hell with all the things you could tie to GN'R it could fill up a whole wing in the RNR hall of fame!!!!

Actually, after thinking about this a little harder, I guess if they did perform together at the show the reunion talk would really take them by storm.  But there is no point in doing it unless all parties are happy to.  Would still like to see one song though!

I was thinking that too and knowing some people with there own agendas I think there is a strong possibility that it could happen (the RNR Hall of fame part I dont think the reunion part but it could happen)
