Actually Cherie Currie was the lead singer for The Runaways.  Joan Jett sang backup vocals and played rhythm guitar.  Although Jett did write "Cherry Bomb".  All according to wikipedia.  I remember seeing something on The Runaways on VH1 and they mentioned their lead singer was not well known like Joan Jett and Lita Ford.

So looks like he is playing all the dates.  I guess that would rule out anything for GNR until September.  Not that that should be a surprise at this point.  Hopefully we'll get some GNR action by the end of the year.

It is insulting to Bumblefoot and the others he implicates as not being loyal. I am sure these band members have all run their projects by Axl, who has then given his blessing most likely to do them if he didn't have something GNR related he would rather have them doing.

Anyone who thinks that Bumblefoot would do anything to interfere with the band's forward progress is not a fan of GNR at all no matter how much they otherwise claim. Falungong is clearly not a fan of this line-up that he would infer any of these members would openly try and undermine all that Axl is working to do. It is fans like him that keep us from getting updates.

They must have read my post in which I lectured Falungong for not being a fan.

They confirmed what I told him almost to the word, that they had GNR's blessing and that Bumble was not interfering in GNR's plans.

As I said in the Dizzy post...I hope these side projects are not springing up due to inactivity on the GnR front...looking more and more likely that dates before Sept. couldn't be secured.  Being as how it is BBF, I feel reassured it is not going to affect any GnR plans.

It would be possible for a GNR tour starting in August, Ron has only two dates in Aug and one in Sep. I'm sure these are possible to work around.

On topic: there's obviously no plans for a GNR tour at this point for whatever reason(s) so the members going out and playing with other bands/artists doesn't seem too big of a deal. I'm sure Ron playing shows with Lita Ford isn't the main reason for no GNR tour...

I've always spoken out against all the side projects but I guess I should realize that these guys aren't the ones holding up the tour. If a tour was on the horizon, these guys wouldn't be doing this stuff.

So it comes back to why there isn't a summer tour. what plans fell through cause they obviously were planning something cause they were rehearsing and added Ashba.


My problem isn't the fact they aren't touring. My problem is we don't get an update as to what happened.

so basically, you have thousands of negative pissed off forum members out there and not really because there is no tour, but because we get silence and no updates and no explanation of why there is no tour.

If something derailed or things went off track, all it would take would be a statement to the fans just explaining what happened and sure there would still be some negative haters, but the  majority would be cool with it.

it has been proven that the GNR community is majorly positive when updates are happening and there is communication.

Seriously I read it quite clearly.  Don't roll your eyes at me, it doesn't become you.  In my opinion GNR won't play any dates this summer.  If I'm wrong, I'll be delighted.  I realize these dates wouldn't hinder any plans GNR might have, yes I read that part, I never thought they would.  If you'd like to do a full investigation to find out what kind of fan I am feel free, but I'm quite satisfied with where I stand.  Thanks for your concern though.
