Greatest album of all time! ''The Beatles'' (1968) and then CD but CD defeats the White Album in one aspect: CD has no fillers. The White Album has that fucking ob la di ob la da shit

that's sad but true, unless the next Guns album sees the light of the day someday in less than 40 years. Guns is one of the very few bands to be currently able to release a great album in the ?short? term. Metalllica, NIN, something from The Beatles taken from Apple's vaults... and I cant see many more possibilities. Yeah, I'm kinda negative about rock music's future. I wonder how the next GNR album will be titled. I cant believe there is not a monster speculation thread about the next GNR album's title yet

Wonder why the negative creeps don't bother to post here in this thread. And man, this place has a lot of them right now. I'm about to start a new job today. One of the pre-requirements was to like rock n' roll, hehe. And I'm sure I'll blast Chinese Democracy when I got there!

Apart from "Shackler's Revenge", "Scraped" and "Catcher In The Rye", I think it's a pretty great record.
The other tracks range from good to brilliant for me.

Also LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE Catcher the Demo Brian May version but the guitar solos ruin it for me on Chinese D.
Overall, the leaks really destroyed this album for me as I can't imagine how long it would've stayed in my CD player had I heard it all fresh at the same time.
Madagascar though, 8 years later, still have yet to tire of it. best song on the CD IMO.

Now you're talking!!!!! Not only is it a high-profile work of art, right now there is no other cd put out by any artist that can come close to it. I'm not into flash-in the pan type of artists that have one or two good songs on the cd.

It's very telling of some people's priorities when they only post in threads where they have a chance to whine about something.....

honestly, man... why don't you just ban them already? nobody likes putting up with their garbage. when someone shows up here with a cancerslash avitar, you know they're only doing so to try and rub their shit in the faces of real fans who come here to enjoy guns n' roses for what it is, not what it was or what they think they can turn it into by bitching on the internet. just don't give 'em the chance!

I disagree. sgt peppers (1967) white album (1968), Abbey Road (1969), let it be (1970)are all great/greatest albums. and ob la di ob la da is no filler. It has their own reggae feel. but I agree that cd is the greatest album. Furthermore, I think the greatest two bands were the Rolling Stones and Beatles. Rock music would not be the same without those two bands.
Beatles is far more important than Rolling Stones. "They have had more fans and hits and sold more records!"
