I think it's a great idea. Almost all the top famous rock groups have made a movie in one form or another.  Cool

And none of them have been good. I think in order for it to be a good movie all of the members ( past and present) should have some creative input. Im sure all of the truths behind everything lies somewhere in the middle.

The Kiss movies from the 1970s were horrible.  The Wall was not so good.  The Beatles stuff was hit and miss at best.

The only ones worth a shit are Woodstock and the Stones' Gimme Shelter.

A movie would be a severe waste of time for a man (Axl) that wastes loads of time.  It would never see the light of day.

Great idea, but seriously, they couldn't even release a music video for "Better," do you think they've got it together enough to put out a film? LOL-WUT!?!?

maybe axl would be more motivated to do a movie because it's grander and more creatively challenging.  just like he didn't want to waste his time trying to do afd over again.  where's the challenge in making a music video for axl rose?  he's already redefined music videos as an art form and made the best ones ever, hands down.  maybe this would be an opportunity to raise the bar and show the world what amazing new heights he can soar to as an artist.  just like chinese democracy was to his music!

Gimme shelter and woodstock were documentaries. I dont think thats what this thread has in mind. A documentary featuring all the players and members being interviewed would be awesome. A film about the band on the other would be harder to pulloff. The horrible band movies i was referring to were : The doors, all of the beatle biographical ones.

I was referring to a movie about the Chinese Democracy cd. Not a movie about G&R. You know what is funny is G&R fans claiming that Chinese Democracy bombed. That is so far from the truth.
It's a very good cd period. I'm not sure what the public or the fans were expecting. The writing of this cd is very mature in respect to what the cd is about.

And on another note as far as The Wall movie by Pink Floyd. When that movie came out it sold out movie theaters for a good month. Many people went to go see that film three to four times before it was released on VHS. When I went the first time I couldn't even get in because there were huge lines waiting to see the movie. My friends and I had to go back the following night to actually get in to see the film because the theaters were jammed packed with people.

Someone should create a G&R site for non-fans who don't like G&R. You all could go there and post your non-fan comments and be quite content in your stew of non-supportive whining.  rofl

i'd donate money to that cause!  but sadly, they wouldn't be content on a hater site for haters.  they'd still want to come around here and try to stir up shit by spreading their lies and speculation.  it's not about axl, or guns n' roses... it's about them getting attention and trying to make other people feel bad by tearing down everything we believe in.  the internet is one big garbage can!  a wise man once said that!

In defense of the Doors movie, I think the band had very little to do with it.

Perhaps, the worst band movie of all-time would be the Bee Gees take on Sgt. Peppers.

Here we go again, so if someone doesn't think that a GnR movie would be great is a hater?  Anyone who thinks Axl has lost it is a hater?  Anyone who doesn't subscribe to the notion that Axl can walk on water is a hater?  This all coming from a guy with 69 in his name??
