No doubt they are consenting adults and humans too, but rights got little to do with desecrating religion imo.

It's selfish as I see it.

What needs to be done is making partnership laws that ensures same institutional benefits/footing-
-and if so important, a spriritual ceremony for same sex.

Be it a christian, muslim, european (pagan), bhudist, whatever marriage initiation.

We got to stop confusing participating in christian rites with rights. Thats giving religion too much cred and influence.

The rite comes with added benefits, in this country.  If it didn't I suppose it wouldn't be a problem.  If marriage wasn't recognized as a civil institution, in addition to a religious one, then it wouldn't matter.  But since it carries with it certain benefits, it creates a problem of treating people equally under the law.

Drew, at least I can see that there are morons on both sides of the political spectrum.  Those that felt she should have been stripped of her crown for voicing her opinion are dumb, left right or center.  Those that felt she poorly presented her thoughts are correct.  There is hatred and intolerance on both sides of the aisle...can we agree on that???

As long as people are respectful when they voice their opposition to gay marriage, that's fine.  This chick seemed respectful...just dumb as a box of rocks. 
I'm still trying to figure out how letting gay people get married affects me as a straight person...or any straight person for that matter.
