Think about it,

Duff has been with Loaded
Slash touring with Fergie and working on his solo album
Matt designing clothes...

This leaves one person who has comitted alll of their time to VR, Dave Kushner.  If Dave is doing most of the work, maybe we can suspect VR to go thrash metal or hardcore punk (two styles that his old band, Wasted Youth did.)  Then again, maybe Dave is doing nothing...

Anyhow, discuss

Dave is probably a large part already to be honest. Who is to say he hasnt written a bunch of the cool riffs we have already heard? Either way Dave is a wicked guitar player and performer.

Just because his old bands played thrash metal and hardcore punk  doesn't mean he will continue to write in that way, people have changed styles and bands before and don't allways sound the same. But that being said i wouldn't necessarily mind a hardcore punk influence in there a little bit, kinda like spay but more punk

I just hope Dave steps up a bit musically. His playing was pretty good on Contraband, but on Libertad it was crap. I'd tune the balance to Slash's side when I used to listen to that CD.
