SLASH To Perform With AVENGED SEVENFOLD In Los Angeles - Apr. 16, 2009

Former GUNS N' ROSES and current VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash will apparently make a special guest appearance with Orange County, California's AVENGED SEVENFOLD at tonight's (Thursday, April 16) concert at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

A photo of Slash and the AVENGED SEVENFOLD members "working out tempos" during soundcheck earlier today can be viewed below. (Photo credit: Karl Larsen)

AVENGED SEVENFOLD singer M. Shadows is rumored to have recorded a guest appearance on Slash's upcoming solo album, which the guitarist is tracking with former NINE INCH NAILS drummer Josh Freese and ex-JANE'S ADDICTION bassist Chris Chaney. Slash's wife Perla Hudson said in a video interview at Rockerrazzi.com that both Ozzy Osbourne and Fergie (a.k.a. Stacy Ann Ferguson) of the BLACK EYED PEAS will also appear on her husband's solo CD.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD will finish its current U.S. tour with two epic SoCal shows before a crowd of beloved hometown fans at the Nokia Theatre and at the San Diego Sports Arena on April 17. AVENGED SEVENFOLD will also perform at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 18 with special guests ATREYU and REV THEORY. This will be the last chance to catch the Orange County quintet until 2010, marking the end of a hugely successful touring cycle as the band heads into the studio to work on their next album once the tour is finished.

The band is touring behind the self-produced "Avenged Sevenfold", which topped the Billboard Alternative, Hard, and Rock charts the week after its release in October 2007. It also won the award for "Best Album" at the 2008! Kerrang! Awards. The follow-up to 2005's million-selling "City of Evil", "Avenged Sevenfold" debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, marking the biggest sales week ever for the quintet. The album has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

not sure if it was just the quality of the boot, but that wasn't really good IMO

It really shows what an awesome frontman Axl is when other people try covering his vocal....

Perry Farrell sounds god awful, Fergie is a female and barely can hit the notes............    Chester does ok but this guy....... nowhere close IMO

you said that about his gig with the Best Buy band too.

I think it was incredibly lame.   A7X is all right, but M Shadows has no business covering Axl's vocals.   The band sounded like shit on the song, and Slash looked like a cariculture of his former self.

Slash played great but that singer is not cut out for GNR vocals
