yea it's how it sounds in GNR that counts.
but really... i think the guitar looks cool. and like it or not there's nothing freakish in his clothing style. neat on both front.
I certainly hope that the guitar sounds good in GnR, because I saw a great guitarist last night playing a couple of different classic Les Pauls that sounded great. Who was that guitarist? Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Robin Finck. Well thats great for you but this thread is about DJ sorry.

If he is to replace Robin, he has some big shoes to fill IMHO. That's all I was saying.

We all know what kind of shoes he has to fill but there is no way to tell whether he fits in GnR or not before he actually plays with them which probably won't happen until at least that winter... So I really don't see the point in reminding everyone until we actually see the guy in action...

So he covered an album full of bon Jovi? I'm deafened well pretendedly, don't hear that. Again it's how he sounds in GNR that counts.

D hates cover bands, but he loves Ashba and BJ. What are your thoughts on this, D? And what do the Bon Jovi haters who love DJ Ashba say to this?

I do hate cover bands with a passion and if this were all DJ had ever done, I'd think he was a joke
HOWEVER
He has proven his artistic and writing abilities on Sixx A:M and Motley's SOLA album so that earns respect and erases the corny, cheesy BJ tribute album.

i love kory clarke & warrior soul. i thought it was funny no one ever commented on them calling there album chinese democracy. i've seen dj a few times. nothing really stood out for me. personally didnt care for sixx a.m. , i was a little puzzled by axl picking him, but before i get mobbed let me say, i will not cruicify the man before he even strums his guitar in guns. thats not fair. i wish him the best.

Probably nobody didn't care. Actually I think it's quite a lame anecdote. For the comments we've read from Ron, seems they're all getting along pretty well. I like his previous work and hope he finds his place in GN'R.

Do all guitar players keep such short fingernails, or maybe he is a nervous nail biter lol. Nice guitar though, eager to hear his contributions to GNR .

Playing guitar with even slightly long nails is difficult. I mean if your playing requires a bit of dexterity. If you're just playing power chords, you'll be fine

Do all guitar players keep such short fingernails Pretty much, yeah. Otherwise you can hit a string by mistake with your nail or even brake it when hitting a note.
