shocked and disappointed. I liked Robin. I thought it should been just him and Fortus on the guitar, both were more than talented.

This just is wierd, kinda getting sick of the ever revolving door. But hey, I still be there front row when they come to NYC singing my fat ass off.

Oh please

this dude is as good if not better than Robin and he is a LEAGUES beyond Robin when it comes to songwriting.

Life Is Beautiful and Saints of Los Angeles were two of the biggest hits of the summer last year on rock radio and his guitars parts are excellent.

He is also a true GNR type of guy and not a dude from a different world TRYING to be a GNR guitarist.

i like his playing in Sixx am can't wait to see what he will bring to the band on tour.

honestly though i think they should have re-named some one that was already in the band at one time so that way when fans see'em next they'd go "ohh ok this guy again" instead of "who the hell is this" for the fourth time. But also in a perfect world Buckethead would be back in again headbanger but i'll settle for this dude ok

i don't really see what axl sees in him, all i've heard is a weak guitar tone and generic solos, and SOLA was a big piece of shit.

besides, he doesn't even play with les pauls, hope that changes...

we'll see how he fits, but robin was and is a lot better than him, and so is ryan roxie
Agree. Hope all the best to Robin, but I really think he made a big mistake.

And hope some of you are happy with a generic guitar player in the band. Hope he proves me wrong, tho, but from what I heard...

Voodoo, rarely do we see eye to eye on guitar playing, but he isn't "unique" like you said.  He is a typical modern rock lead player that is allowed to actually solo. He does however from what I heard, have more chops than Robin, but Robin did have a unique sound.  Frankly though, he won't really play anything Richard couldn't, so it must be his "song writing" that got him this gig.  I hope he can write a riff, because that is something GNR doesn't have much of on CD is ballsy badass riffs.

Ahhh I don't get it.  Week in half ago there was Axl mentioning Robin's Stevie Ray Vaughn type solo..  I guess would like to know if Robin decided to not return or Axl just said were not waiting for you. No disrespect DJ.

Deffinatly. I think DJ would bring 110% to the table. He has a great diversity of styles and all of his work seeps effort and commitment. He'd be a great guy to have in the studio.
The other great thing is that he does have writting and producing experience, and is able to write a rock hit.

People are saying he is on Slash's solo album as well... There is a picture of him, Slash, Alice Cooper, and Nikki Six and apparently they all are on Slash's album.

But does Axl want "hits" and basic rock stuff like Buckcherry?  I thought he was going more for Dream Theatre...

maybe the interview was made months ago but we just saw it week and a half ago, and Robin left the band, was his choice.
