I don't see any indication Robin is gone forever. From the press release, we have this cat at least for the tour. Doors are not closed on Mr. Finck.

Come on, it's like their drummer issue...

No one really knows who's the drummer so they just say they both are drummers and part of the family. It's not a rock band, it's a
huge collection of contributors who step in when they can etc etc.

All pretty confusing as always but that's how it is. Ashba will be there as long as Finck isn't.

It's cool because it implies the tour is coming, but it would be easier to make sense of the situation and be excited about it if the statement was clearer.

If they needed a perminant replacement for Robin and Ashba could and wanted the gig, I guess the statement would have a different sound to it....   ok

You should read it again.  It says that Robin has replaced for the upcoming tour, but that he continues to be a part (present tense) because of Guns' history and his work on Chinese Democracy.  There's a mixing of present tense combined with references to history and past work.  It makes no statement that Robin will continue to work with Guns in the future.  That's why it's unclear.

Good choice, love his Sixx A.M stuff, big fan. Looking forward to seeing/hearing him with Fortus and Ron.
Robin was the weak link in the trio (live, imo), glad to see him replaced and hopefully he'll stay out. Don't need any disloyalty in a band.
