A surefire way to never get women is to listen to and/or sing that crap.
Just gotta know the right women.
Tap knows the right women:

It would certainly be nice if I could get to a second date with someone once! Shit gets old!

I certainly haven't read this from the beginning, my advice though, stay away from dating within the work establishment, it is very unprofessional, and will only cause alot of drama in the end. Just my opinion of course.

I probably wouldn't ask a co-worker out, again. Not that I ever actually did. I just ended up dating a co-worker. We started hanging out with another couple, by hanging out I mean the couple and I drank while she watched. Eventually, the co-worker and I spent sometime alone together....eventually she wound up with me. This all despite hr living with her boyfriend at the time. So, she moved back into her parents place, something she swore she'd never do. She rearranged her whole life for me. Probably not a good idea on her part. She really, really, really wanted kids and I didn't. I was thinking, "Whoa....between us we make like $16 an hour, let's cut down on the family talk" Not that she ever talked about US being a family, she just made it very, very clear she wanted one.
Eventually, she got her wish. She has her family, even if her husband seems to be a giant douche and definately hates me. Mostly because her and I had the nerve to speak to one another on very, very rare occasions.
This ramble and what it means is, after we broke up, she broke up with me, because she apparently still loved her "ex" and then a day later decided we should still be together, which I shot down, not because I didn't care for her, but because she loved someone else and told me as much, she could barely act civil to me. Not a good combo in a "team" environment. She wouldn't listen to what I had to say, which sometimes at work was important, so things got fucked up a lot because of it.
Just a bad scene, fortunately, despite her claims I changed, everyone knew she was the problem, not me, since I acted like I always did...which is like a smartass.

You must be one of the lucky ones, do you still currently work together?

Depends. Does it count if she says something like "I'm only doing this to pay for school"?

So is that a Freudian slip telling him not to ask out his coworker?

It wasn't until after we broke up. Everything before and during was fine.
If one person won't listen/speak etc etc etc to the other, it makes for a bad work scene.
