First things first, stay out of the relationship advice thread....

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll just ask here.
My main mindset lately has been simply to date some people, get to meet new people, etc. Not really looking to commit at the moment.
That being said, I met this girl the other night, and we have plans to go out tomorrow night drinks. She's a singer and is very attractive, and I'd like some tips on how to impress her.

Be yourself bro.
Oh yea, less talk and more listening.
If that doesn't work, maybe show her how many push ups you can do.

Depends...is your goal to make a friend, get laid, or make a real relationship out of it.
If it's #1 or #3, you have to be yourself. No use having a friend you have to pretend for, and a real relationship won't work out for long if you're putting on a show.
Then again, if it's about gettin' sum...well, PUSH-UPS!

My preferred result would be 3, but we'll see how things progress.
No rushing.

Well, then, be yourself...but don't let out all your "crazy" all at once.
For example..."I spend too much time on a GNR forum" might be kept inside till a few months in.

Yea gawd, please. Whatever you do don't let her know you are registered here or any other interwebtube forum, she'll know for sure you never get laid.
If you have to tell her something, tell her you're a Trekkie or something like that.

that's definetly good advice.
Another advice; buy her rounds until she's interested.

Just go with the flow. She wouldn't have said Yes if she didn't like you. Women love compliments. Call her back if you say that you are going to do so. Go see one of her shows.

Somehow I suspect that this poor guy striking out might have something to do with the advice he gets here!

I'm surprised he hasn't been arrested or run out of town if he's following the advice here.

Another first date option would be to take her to the gym where she can watch you work out.

If I met a girl, and am interested, I ask her out/for her number. Always.
No point in letting her get away.
