Wow!  What a horrendous performance by the Patriots yesterday.  And unfortunately for me I had to see it up close and personal.  They just didn't show up at all.  Credit to the Ravens though, they played A LOT better than I ever thought they could, and the Pats played as bad as they possibly could.  I knew this wasn't going to be a banner year for the Patriots (with their performance down the stretch) and I knew there was a chance they could lose to the Ravens.  But I never expected them to lose like that.  That was just awful.  Defense was awful, offense was awful, coaching was awful, special teams was pretty bad.  What the hell kind of game plan was that?  Or was there even a game plan?  They went with the spread offense with no backs in the backfield for the most part.  When they did have a RB in it was 3rd down specialist Kevin Faulk.  It was pretty obvious they weren't even going to try to run the ball and the Ravens just tee'd off on Brady.  MIX IT UP!  Even after they went down 14-0 5 minutes into the game there was still plenty of time left to attempt to run the ball and get some sort of balance on offense.

Just awful, absolutely disgraceful.

I'd have to give the advantages next week to the 2 top seeds in the AFC.  I thought maybe the Jets could've given the Colts a run for their money, not so sure they can do the same with the Chargers.  I guess the Ravens could possibly give the Colts a game since they'll probably be able to run the ball effectively against them and I think their defense played about as well as they have all season yesterday so if they can keep that up they could keep it close.

I was impressed with the Cowboys and Cardinals and both the Vikings and Saints should have their hands full next week.  It wouldn't surprise me at all if both lower seeds move on.

It hurts more to see Brett Favre fail again in the playoffs.

And wow, someone on here doesn't like Brett Favre.  A life of impotence to the Favre shrine deleter.

Yeah, has Jared Allen had a season ending injury? he has been quiet last 5 or 6 games.

I went 2-2 last weekend, missing both games on Saturday. Let's see if I can do a little better this weekend.

Colts over Ravens--- I picked the Ravens last week. I said they were the dark horse of the playoffs. Not many people predicted them to win, but I think they're a very underrated team, better than their regular season record suggests. I really want to pick them to win this game, because I think they have a great chance to pull off the upset. I can see the Colts coming out, being rusty, having a couple turnovers, and the Ravens jumping to an early lead like they did last week. I think Rice and McGahee will both be very good. Peyton Manning tends to struggle in the playoffs. Everything points toward the upset . . . Yet I'm going with the Colts. Flacco is hurt and supposedly in a lot of pain. Peyton's still going to get his touchdowns. I think the Ravens will need Flacco to produce in this game, unlike last week, and I don't think he gets it done. I definitely think this one will be the closest game of the weekend, though.

Cardinals over Saints--- Now that my beloved Eagles are eliminated, I guess I'm pulling for the Cardinals to take it all. I like Warner and Fitzgerald, and I think they'll have a huge day. Everybody keeps talking about how the Cardinals allowed the Packers to score so much, so how are they going to stop the Saints? Well, I see it the other way around. The Packers were the second-ranked defense, and the Cardinals scored 51 points on them. The Saints struggled down the stretch. Cardinals jump to an early lead and never look back.

Chargers over Jets--- I'm still not impressed with the Jets. I was surprised they won last week, and I'll be shocked if they win this weekend. I expect them to lose and lose by double digits. The Chargers, imo, are the best team in the NFL. The Jets have a good defense, but the Chargers just have too many weapons to contain. Chargers win easily.

Cowboys over Vikings--- I despise the Cowboys, and I hope they lose, but they're playing amazing right now. If their defense dominated the Eagles two weekends in a row, I expect them to do the same to the Vikings. McNabb was running for his life that entire game, so I think Favre will be doing the same. He'll have a rough day, probably throwing a couple INTs, maybe a fumble or two. Peterson hasn't been very good this year. The Vikings are good at stopping the run, but not so much the pass. Cowboys dominate.

The Jets have the best passing defense in the league and the best rushing attack. The Chargers are soft against the run. I think this game will be a lot more competitive then you think. Revis has held the best wide outs in the league to nothing.

i went 2-2 last week, although my eagles pick was made with my heart, not my head.

this week i'll say Cards, Colts, Cowboys, Jets.

i think the first 3 are the better teams IMO. the jets i just have a hunch. they are a dangerous team and i can see SD struggling a bit.

that's 3 underdogs i picked to win outright. not sure i would lay the points with the Colts. Ravens have lost a few really close games to them in recent years.

I feel the Colts just really have something to prove. Remember that Super Bowl year when they were horrible against the run and every body in the media talked how they would lose cause they couldn't stop the run?

Then in the playoffs, they turned into the 85 Bears and noone could do shit on their D?

I think They have a lot to prove and will come out and batter the Ravens..... they build a two TD lead which takes away the Balt running game.. Colts go on 24-10 win

Cowboys 24-20
Jets 17-13
Arizona 31-23

I'm going with the 4 C's, Colts, Chargers, Cowboys, Cardinals.  I feel the safest with the Chargers, the least safest with the Cardinals.  Jets can't hang with a quality team like the Chargers on the road (I don't think).  The Bengals just weren't that good this year down the stretch.  That win didn't impress me or do anything to make me think they could beat the Chargers.

Cowboys are probably playing the best football, outside of San Diego.  And Minnesota hasn't played at a high level of late.  Almost seems too easy to pick the Cowboys, and that's not always a good thing.

I still don't think the Ravens are that good a team, even though they manhandled my Patriots last week.  I think Manning should get far better protection and will be able to pick apart their beat up secondary.

As for Cards/Saints.  I just didn't like how the Saints played since their loss to the Cowboys.  Cards should be able to pile up the points against them as long as they limit their turnovers.  Saints D isn't that good, but they can turn mistakes into points with the best of them.

For this week's games, I'm going to choose.....

Arizona
Indianapolis
Dallas
San Diego

- I'm picking Arizona because their on a hot streak.
- I'm picking Indianapolis because their at home and should be able to take care of the game.
- I'm picking Dallas because I think their a better overall team than Minnesota, although I've been pulling for Brett Favre all year long and want him to win another Superbowl.
- I'm picking San Diego because their are a much better team than the N.Y. Jets and they should be able to dominate on both offense and defense.

New Orleans came ready to play and just walked right over Arizona, 45-14.
