How do you know they aren't on sale?

Because I clicked on the link and noticed that there's no ticket prices?

But, wait, repeat, but wait, there are persuasive info that it?s actually a US supergroup with members drawn from Alice Cooper, Guns N? Roses and White Lion for a Dimapur show. Phew.

Options:

1) Dizzy & Richard

2) Lita & BBFT

Or it is nobody at all, and the promoter scumbag just recognizes the value of the GnR 'brand' and is using the starving hoards of fans to drum up excitement/press for his event?   Seems to work every time.  Google Guns n roses 'news' some time and see the bullshit people will slap 'Guns n roses' on just to get exposure.  rant

Hasn't Dizzy played with Troy Patrick Farrell (White Lion) and Keri Kelli (Alice Cooper) in Hookers and Blow?  That would make more sense???

no wonder Robin wasn't willing to leave NIN. NIN are still touring the world, filling arenas with a great show. he'd be a fool to leave a good paying job with his friends and with musical recognition around the globe to go  sit and wait at home for gn'r to tour or promote something.

He's better off at NIN, at least he does what muscians are supposed to do, he plays and has fun.

The only difference between Robin and the rest of Gn'r, is that he's the one that actually has a band that can actually compete with gn'r when it comes to income and live shows, and at this point they might actually beat gn'r, cuz we all know how hard it is with that band to do something other's just do normally. i.e. put out a video, tour, release a cd... put on a decent website, talk to fans... you know, the kind of things that make a band cool for fans to follow.

filling arenas with a great show.

Some of the "filling" is due to it being the "last tour".

So far they've toured the USA twice on the "last tour".....

But if you think NIN are at the same level as GN'R, you're wrong. They didn't headline festivals like GN'R does.

GN'R is more of a world wide thing. Always was.

i think NIN in a way are more popular..
at least their fans are very loyal and dedicated and trent encourages them and give them surprises a nice things, he is always communicating, posting HD videos, artwork, posting in forums... thats why he sold out all the places he go, thats why his limited edition realases are a succes.
nin and gnr world.. are the complete opposite

Yes. This.

In this day and age, you simply cannot take your fans for granted the way Axl has.
Not when it's so easy to download music for free.

If you care about making money.

If Axl is a "true artiste," and has no interest in making money, then more power to him!  ok

BUT ... as we heard Ron explain, the economy is the reason Guns aren't touring right now.

WELL ... read between the lines.

Hopefully, someday things will change and Axl will reward the fans for their patience.

I thought things would change after the record came out, but alas it's the same-old, same-old.

No communication. No website updates. No videos.

I'd LOVE to buy a deluxe edition of Chinese Democracy
I'd love to read twitter updates from Axl
I'd love to see some live footage on the website
I'd love to see the "Better" video
I'd love for Axl to tour.
I'd love to purchase and download MP3s of demo versions of the songs from Chinese Democracy
I'd love to see some group photos of the band

These are the kinds of things Trent's fans get.
In return he is rewarded with success.

That's the way it works in the 21st Century.

We'd all love all that too!  Doesn't look like it will ever happen though at this point.
Off topic but:  which interview was it were Ron said they weren't touring cos of the economy?
Ah i found it!

This is the same guy who realized it's not always a win-win situation when you "communicate" with "fans".

Hello Twitter!

Pearl Jam does pretty much the same things Trent does, without all the Twitter drama or forum postings.

And they sell out arenas/stadiums without the "good bye!" publicity...

Both found their core audiences and are happy to play for them.

Doesn't mean you have to be like Trent in order to succeed. That's why I brought up Pearl Jam.

Also, since people are so happy to bring up Trent and all his special releases to his fans. Did you notice things started happening after he didn't have to deal with Interscope?

You're right there is no comparison.  NIN wins hands down.  They are active and have become very fan friendly.

They are selling out arenas for their farewell tour but GnR wasn't when they had their welcome back tour.

Hell, Hendrix has been dead for 40 years and has had more new material than GnR in recent years.
