No, I'm just saying that some bands like KISS try to make everything a publicity stunt while GN'R doesn't work like that...

It's always been the case.

When something is set in stone and ready, we'll know about it.

Edited to add: The reason I mentioned KISS was because of this news article I just had read about how fans were upset because they had voted in online polls where KISS asked their fans where they wanted to see them. Then it turned out they're not playing in the place that got the most votes after all. Unless they add more dates....

/jarmo

agreed. gnr are very different form KISS (in some good ways and some poor ways).

but did you really think KISS would let their fans down???
GENE SIMMONS Blaming Media For Spoiling KISS' Oshawa Surprise - Aug. 26, 2009
KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons says the media is to blame for spoiling a surprise the band had in store for Oshawa, the car manufacturing capital of Canada which was recently named the KISS capital after beating out every major city in North America in an online competition to see the band play in their town.

The Durham city claimed the number one spot in North America with 14,569 votes, but when the tour schedule was announced Monday, Oshawa wasn't on the list.

Fans and politicians in Oshawa were outraged and KISS eventually announced that it will play the city on October 7.

Simmons told The Canadian Press the band had planned all along to launch its new album, "Sonic Boom", in the city, but was forced by the media to make the announcement early.

"I'm really pissed off at the media for creating this nonsense," Simmons said.

"You know, here's the history of the way we do things: you treat everything and everybody special, and because of who and what Oshawa is, which is near and dear to our hearts, because (they) won the No. 1 spot above and beyond New York, L.A., Toronto, Vancouver, we wanted to do a huge campaign."

"(The media) never gave us a chance to treat Oshawa special."

I've said that before (in this thread I think) that I would LOVE a whole tour in venues the size of Hammerstein.

"An Evening With Guns N' Roses at the Fox Theater" in Detroit? Yes please!!

Correct. That date hasn't been confirmed by the band at this point and tickets aren't on sale.
