Yeah Ron's got stuff booked and Dizzy is booked on August 21st.

But I'm guessing all that would get unbooked in a hurry should GNR decide to do something. So don't take those dates as any kind of barometer.

It isn't like Axl can wake up tomorrow, decide to tour and then start it next week. Booking venues, hiring a crew, getting a stage show together etc etc..takes a while i would imagine.

maybe they are waiting til this whole re-relise of cd gets sorted out (if there is a re-relise). alot has happened even though it does'nt look like it. the video fell through. axl was not happy with the booklet of cd. robins depture didnt help. the economy is bad. to get someone to financial back gnr for a tour has to be a issue. im sure as far as the people that makes the wheels turn, they are very busy. i know people like to point the finger at axl. as bad as we all want a tour, we will get one, just may take a little time.

Ask Ron how quick Axl can make a decision and expect you to have your ass on the road   

Just my opinion and hope, and nothing else but I believe GNR are setting up to tour S America.  It's been planned all along.  They have a core time to be there and target cities but like Hammerstein when the opportunity presents itself, things will be added on.  The core time could be backed up or extended or loaded up in the middle.

I don't have a shread of evidence to back that, really.

Beastie Boys just cancelled their tour and were scheduled to headland San Francisco Outside Lands Festival on Sunday, August 30.   Why not GNR to replace Beasties as headliners in Golden Gate Park?  I know its a fucking pipe dream but just maybe Mike D will call Axl up to fill the slot for them.   Another one of my GNR/Rock-n-Roll fantasies....
