GNR's tour doesn't have anything to do with the other acts on the road.

I really don't think the tour is happening this year. We got Aerosmith/ZZ Top touring in the summer in the US. Metallica touring Europe/USA full time this year. AC/DC doing tour dates too. Seems like the year is full.

haha! because GNR dictate what they do by other bands right?  Shocked

I'm sure Axl could careless what those other bands are doing...

Before the RB2 announcement, I thought we'd get all of them together. A re-issue of the album, a tour schedule and the Rock Band stuff. So now that we have the RB, I don't think the re-issue is coming, but I wish it would. Someone else mentioned this before, but I think that a re-issue with a bonus track, a fixed booklet and a different cover along the tour anouncement would be a really great idea.

We'll see what happens.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, how far out do the bookings have to be made / firm, prior to announcing the dates / tkts going on sale? If Guns were to start touring in June, would we know this month? Next? What is the norm? (before anyone says it, yes, I do realize that Guns don't operate under the norm.)

I was trying to remember when those Hammerstein dates were announced in 06'. Was it weeks before? Months?

I think it's safe to say they won't be touring in June.
July, August, September is another story.

If I remember correctly, it was only a couple of weeks.

I'd say early summer is probably out at this point.

That's what I was thinking. Unless they plan to just drop this on us at the last second, I'm thinking it'll be July at the earliest.

I believe it was like 5 weeks. I know it was in April.

I was listening to TSN tonight, and they had this ad from Budweiser. It was promoting a contest in which you could win a trip to see GnR in concert. Any thing new here?
