LOL, there was absolutely no chance in that though, and if i remember its a year and a half total tour but broken up, he leaves sometime this summer i think, and stagehands dont practice stage setup, but hes specifically video crew anyway.

Who plans for a year and a half in advance in this economy?
Plus, if it really is a co-headlining tour and you are an organizer/promoter/tour manager, you have to realistically expect that in a few weeks tension and egos will start to build up and confront, and thus plan around that - tour lineup changes, breaks, etc.

I would love for GNR to tour with ELO. Axl said they were a huge influence on him. I just saw the musical XANADU and I''m,actually going to listen to something besides CD for a few days. I miss the 80's.

Now if you don't mind I was working up to finding out if his dad was single, GNR talk was just the starting point.   Cool

you mean if he's motherless? Cry

mom doesn't have to be dead for dad to be single!

are you implying that his mother abandoned him? Cry

and seemingly his dad already found new love.  jatscm, life sucks but stay strong.

Guns N' Ashba - could it be true?

We posted a Axl N' Roses update on March 5th >HERE<.

The post included a rumor that Ryan Roxie (former Alice Cooper guitarist) was given an audition into the Gn'R camp. This rumor seemed to have some validity based on direct phone calls we received noting our comments caused a "shit storm".

Now in more recent developments Metal Sludge has been on the receiving end of more rumor. This time it's naming DJ Ashba of SIXX AM as a likely candidate to play in Guns n' Roses. Believe it or not, there is also talk of a possible stadium tour with Van Halen.

Alright, specifically the combo tour is over the summer, and its not necessarily all stadium because as I said, they're going to be playing at the Garden, ticks SHOULD be going on sale in two weeks also.

Not that this is any indication or anything, but when I was at the Chinese Democracy release party at the Hard Rock, (Dizzy played with the Starfuckers) DJ was there just chillin' then went with the band after they got offstage. SO he knows at least one member in the band. ANd, I think he'd be a great choice.

Hey All,

Anyone else starting to feel like this stadium tour might be as likely as a video for Better?  If the band/management is planning on such a vast undertaking, you'd think announcements would have been made by now.  I know Coldplay announced their summer stadium tour quite some ago (Feb 6th).  I've got a feeling that if nothing is announced by the first or second week of April, no dice for seeing the band this summer.

Cheers,

Andrew

First, I don't think it will be a "stadium" tour.  U2 may be the only band right now that can fill football stadiums.  I think it will hit amphitheaters.  I think if something isn't announced by mid-April, it may not be happening.  But, it depends on when this is going to start.  Motley Crue just announced Crue Fest 2, which starts in mid-July.  So, there's about a four-month window.  This tour could start mid to late-summer.  Who knows?

I think we've been waiting on Azoff to finish taking over the concert business, when he has control over ticket sales.
