like usual, good news and then a thread full of negative replies, what is wrong with this fanbase? seriously, they obviously have a plan for this. they arent going to just goto the stadium and expect it to fill. they are touring, isnt that good enough for you? guns is gonna have to come to your house and play a show before you are actually happy.

Maybe you gave them the idea. Or you are psychic. To be honest, I'm not all that interested in seeing Van halen. i would probably skip that part of the concert.

Good post.  EVERY band is either not good, or washed up. Just because a few 10 year olds dont think VH is a big band, oh well.  News flash, they were HUGE, and now with the original singer back?  This would be a fun concert. TWO big bands.  Go and enjoy it and stop whining

Im just sayin, I believe a lot of sites take rumors off message forums etc.

I think Van Halen would have too big of an ego to open for GNR.

I think that you are correct on both counts. I wasn't being sarcastic before.

Forgot about Aerosmith.  They are due to tour in June as well, with a new album coming soon too.  Guns already has a history with them so it makes sense, although I know Steven and Joe are both still tight with Slash so that may quash that one right there.

I wonder what the source of all the VH rumors is.  Hope some writer didnt just read some hopeful fan talking about it in one of the forums and just ran with it....

Whether you personaly like it or not...(if this happens) Van Halen would definately do their part in helping filll out a stadium.

And I would personaly love to see GNR in a packed stadium....great atmosphere!

This was posted about GNR so I doubt it would be a co-headlining tour with Aerosmith or Van Halen because neither one would be the opening act.

This could be the biggest failure in music history, but for some reason I don't think so.

when things are properly promoted and made out to be a HUGE event, that has ways of getting people excited.  I for one am just so happy the ball is rolling, I can't be negative right now.

This could be the biggest failure in music history, but for some reason I don't think so.

If you don't think so, why say it?

Why not say something like "this could be the tour of the summer!"?  Grin

Your president didn't win the election by telling the people he might fail!

That's not the way to win fights and succeed....

I see people already shooting down this whole idea (which shouldn't be a surprise).

What is a surprise is that it seems like many people have totally missed the fact that a GN'R stadium tour actually means that GN'R would be on tour playing shows! Playing shows for, you know, the fans!

Instead of focusing on that, some of you are more focused on the "oh no, it's gonna suck because the venue is too big and nobody want to see them" shit.

We have no announced dates, venues, acts on the bill with GN'R, ticket prices or anything and some of you are already writing it off.

 Roll Eyes

Personally I can't wait to see the best band in the world on stage (that's GN'R for all you who needs things spelled out for you) and I don't care what venue they play.

 Cool

By the way, I kinda doubt that HitsDailyDouble.com read their news on fan sites. I thought it was more connected to the music business than that?
