I'd like to see Billy Talent as the opening act but I doubt that happens.

Noone'll like me for this - Motley Crue.

69 Eyes would be a good opening act I think as would Buckcherry.  Grin

What about Roger Waters performing "The Wall"?

Come on, tell us it's realistic.

Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed & Cambria, Billy Talent, Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Baz, System of a Down, Lostprophets, etc...
just get 2-3 solid openers and a major headliner to co-headline with and a stadium tour isn't that far fetched.
so pumped for when this thing gets a rollin'!

System of a Down said they'd reform and open for GNR if the old lineup ever reunited.  I love'em, but I don't think they're an option.

yeah i knew that as well, but didn't Serj work with Bucket on Enter the Chicken?
Not sure if he's worked with Brain or not in that process either, but there are connections there to have them involved @ some point down the line.
so who knows? + if Rage Against The Machine regrouped Axl has connections to Caram Costanzo for them to possibly Co-Headline or even open! (such wishful thinking drool)

worst known band i've ever seen live smoking what i mean is that they really sucked live and since i haven't been able to listen to a whole song of them, thought they might be ok before the gig but left before it was over

Duff McKagans Loaded would be cool choise, just book ticket another show 5th of June in Tampere Finland (got tickets to Helsinki 3rd of june already)

hm and since my 2 brothers play in band their band "AphoreA" would be perfect choice (in my opinion of course) if and when Guns will tour in FINLAND again

check em (AphoreA) out:

Black Stone Cherry
Silvertide
Black Tide

I agree about the whole VH deal, it only furthers the whole washed-out 80's persona some people still associate with GN'R. Get some new and fresh music to open the show. Besides what happned to the days where up and coming bands where given a chance to showcase their talent?!!

A few diffrent ones to check out would be "Lacuna Coil"  a smaller opening band is the INDIE band KHZ.  For somthing completely out there "diablo swing orchestra", however even bringing Helmet back would be cool.  That band seemed to go over well with the crowds.

nickelback i really like them. Or just someone that is big like gnr so it could be a monster bill. it stinks when you only want to see the headliner but lets face it there isn't really much out there today.

Nickelback???,...u kiddin right???

NICKELBACK.

FUCKING.

SUCKS.

If any band could keep me away from a GN'R show, it would be those no-talent pieces of cat shit!!!
I might go just to boo the shit out of them.  Although I'd probably end up getting in a fight or getting kicked out so it probably wouldn't be worth it in the end.

NICKELGAY.

Let me tell you all something about Nickelback - and this is a stone cold fact....

If Roadrunner Records did not have Nickleback, the label would not be here today.  Don't try and argue it, I know this as a fact.

And being broader you need to remember this FACT....

The music industry has been killed by the internet.  If it weren't for Nickleback, U2 & Coldplay we would have no new bands coming through.  Those bands are propping up the record and publsihing companies - and all the other bands get fed from that pot of money.  You think we'd being seeing as much Slipknot promo and presence in the market if it weren't for Nickleback? Think again!

So Nickleback.......  I'm game for it.  Bring it on!

SLIPKNOT not a good example they have sold over what 5 million records I don't think they are dragging anyone down.

As far as Nickleback goes while not much of a fan of them I find the backlash on their success rather hypocritical.  This is what EVERY ONE THINGS A ROCK BAND SHOULD BE.  They are a bunch of buddies who got together and worked their way up to where they are today.  They were not put together by any music excustives ect.  Regardless if you hate them they got their fame the honest way.  They did not have a multi million dollar ad campaign.

As for the internet detroyed the record industry is pure bullshit.  Over 5 billion songs sold by ITUNES, Millions by other sites.  It is the record labels fault they fucked over artists for years stealing every dime from them so the only way they made money was by radio play or live shows they see fuck all from CD sales in general.  This is not just my opinion but that of a few metal bands including a few that are on roadrunner records.
