Iron Maiden - Almost everyone loves them (Guns; Fan Wise)/they can really play it up to big crowds/...And although their big, their not necessarily bigger than Guns N' Roses.

Get Lil Wayne or Kanye West. I've always thought Axl could do some cool stuff with them.

Iron Maiden - Almost everyone loves them (Guns; Fan Wise)/they can really play it up to big crowds/...And although their big, their not necessarily bigger than Guns N' Roses.

First - Iron Maiden wouldn't open for Gn'R. They have their own public (very different than the one of Gn'R) n' they're headliners.

Second - Gn'R n' Maiden didn't finish the '88 tour in the best conditions, Maiden kick off Gn'R from their tour due the "erratic" behaviour

Thirst - Axl once said that he hope they (Gn'R) never became a band like Maiden. Dickinson said recently that ChD is shit.

I would love to see Aerosmith open for GNR.  I saw Metallica open for them in 92 and Baz and Papa Roach open for them in 06.  Either way, Im pumped for any GNR show!

I saw Twilight Singers perform a few years ago at the Warsaw, an old polish club in my Brooklyn neighborhood, with Mark Lanegan-- before the Gutter Twins, and at that very moment in time they were the best band in america. Same goes for The Cardinals. My girlfriend was really into them and I was skeptical, but saw them play for three and a half hours non-stop. They have the ability  to change their sound, and this show had them in a very fuzzed out 1970's fashion. They are very proficient and have that classic american roots rock n roll vibe.

I miss the era of shows when a larger band would give bands with more of a cult following a larger audience, and the talent of the musicianship made everyone play better, and yr. turned on to new sounds; for the love of music...

How about AKA (All Kills Aside).  They're from Joplin, Missouri.  They have opened for bands like Disturbed, and System of the Down.  Here's the music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8F6XxvqQG8

It's a shame that crowds at GNR shows tend to be horrible to the opening acts that are unfamiliar to them.

Wow....that's prolific. I didn't realize being into all different types of music made people "clowns". Guess that makes Axl & Izzy "clowns" for being into NWA.

I'd like to see Queensryche like an opening act. They are releasing a new record this month, besides as far as I know Axl Rose likes Queensryche, would be at least interesting, I love Queensryche, it's has a lot of in common with GNR, for instance epic songs, great guitar solos, beautiful ballads and a terrific frontman of course.
