I prefer listening to others in general, especially those who both push their talents and infuse them with a level of energy that I've seldom heard in his efforts over the years. I'm not taking anything away from the man that are his to claim for his past efforts OK, but he also said that Slash should have never been in the band to begin with or should have left after Lies. Then why did you cry "hot tears of anger" when he left in '96? |

He said it took him years to re-appreciate (if you will) Slash's guitar work after the Spaghetti Incident and Sympathy for the Devil. I don't think he meant that Slash should've left after Lies because he was an inferior guitar player.
