Here Today...

« on: February 11, 2009, 08:44:09 AM »

I've been meaning to do this for awhile, but I finally made myself a copy of The Trilogy +1.
The tracklist is:

Don't Cry
November Rain
This I Love
Estranged

I thought someone would do this sooner and I gave it one good listen on the way to work this morning.  It was just really powerful.  It was such emotion, feeling, pain as the first three tracks just flowed right in to each other.  Estranged seemed a bit out of place, but I'm wondering if that is because I've never been a huge Estranged fan.  I like the song, but it's not in my top ten.  If your a fan of the bands entire catalog I'd be interested to hear other thoughts on this.  It's worth the 25 minutes to give it a good spin.

Isn't the "The General" supposed to be the final parable in the "Estranged" trilogy?

I'm curious as to why Axl called it a trilogy even back in the "Use Your Illusion" days when those 4 tracks existed.
