 Undecided

Several announcements on the internet said that SLASH would be playing at the Inaugural Heroes Ball along with Anita Baker, Chic, Josh Groban, NAS and others. We asked SLASH for confirmation and to find out what song(s) he would be performing. SLASH said he would not be playing at the Ball although he was originally listed as one of the artists.

Announcement Regarding Inaugural Ball Appearance

January 23rd, 2009

Last week it was announced in the Washington Post and the L.A. Times, among other publications and websites that Slash would be appearing and performing at the Red White and Blue Heroes Inaugural Ball on January 20th 2009 in Washington D.C.

Unfortunately the entire event was cancelled for reasons unrelated to Slash.

We would like to apologize on behalf of Slash, for any misunderstanding or disappointment this may have caused anyone during the inaugural celebrations. Slash is very busy at the moment working on upcoming projects. To stay updated on anything Slash related, please continue to visit www.slashonline.com. Thanks for your continued interest and support!

I think someone is a little mixed up here.

It was the Veterans Inaugural Ball that was cancelled...not the Heroes Red, White & Blue Inaugural Ball.  Undecided

The promoter who failed to hold a promised Veterans Inaugural Ball on Tuesday has left behind a trail of angry corporate sponsors and charities...

The Heroes's Ball took place...

Scheduled performers Jamie Foxx, Nas, Josh Groban and Tiki Barber ultimately did not appear, putting ball sponsors USO, TAPS and Citizens Helping Heroes in a difficult position. Nevertheless, adjustments were made and the night was a huge success...

Yeah, first Slash says that he decided not to play at the event...then they release a statement saying that Slash's appearance/event was cancelled...which it wasn't.

It might have been better if they had not made any statement at all.
