Take That are the coolest band in history, according to the nation's teenagers.

The group - who re-formed in 2006 - came top in a survey of 3,000 teens.

A spokesman for www.youngpoll.com, which carried out the survey, said: "They have come back after more than a decade away to enjoy even more success."

Girls Aloud, Aerosmith, Busted and Guns N' Roses were next coolest. Retro rock bands are enjoying a fresh surge in popularity thanks to interactive computer guitar games which use their music.

I guess most of them are stupid, but happily, next most are pretty much decent ok people.  hihi

The coolest in history phrase doesn't bode well to me.  Is that because most teens think they aren't around anymore?  Voted as the coolest band today would be more of a cause for celebration.

Also, isn't it preaching to the choir on here?  Only Axl can reach the masses.

they were huge among early teenagers in the 90's.  if it was a US poll, would it be NKOTB?  hihi

What I meant was that the Internet is one way to reach people. Including clueless teenagers.... Wink

So since this site is part of the thing called the Internet, it's possible that a clueless teenager might find out about GN'R due to this site.

So since this site is part of the thing called the Internet, it's possible that a clueless teenager might find out about GN'R due to this site.

I first got into Gn'R sometime around '02 or '03.  Someone played me Madagascar, and I was so blown away by it, I had to find out who did it.  After that, primarily via HTGTH, I learned all about Gn'R and my entire existance as a fan is based around HTGTH.  From ticket pre-sales, to chats with Axl, it's been great.

So yeah, I'd say, from my perspective, despite ending my tenure as a teenager in '99, this site (along with the rest) has been a huge factor in my knowledge and enjoyment of Gn'R.
