I got the album last Wednesday! It's pretty good. It was some good rockers, a couple of slow ones, and one with all sorts of horns and brass... It is a very different sound than Dark Days.

Listening to it right now! There's some songs from the previous EP, and that's cool for the people that couldn't listen the EP.

The band is great and is so good listening to Duff's vocals. Hope they come to Brazil ! beer

Fucking Great Album. I am really surprised at how good this is. U can really see where Duff was instrumental in GNR and VR's success as far as melodies/hooks etc

I will write a full review once I digest it some more.

I know last night, I was dying to hear Duff's new CD. I could've easily Downloaded, listened and then went and bought it today.

U  know what?

I didn't and I was excited all day today and couldn't wait to get to the store to buy it. Listened to it on the way home and it is a great experience. I did the same For Prince's last week and will do so in the future.

Only thing I will DL is a band I don't like but am maybe curious about.

I DL U2's, hated it, deleted it, didn't buy it.

I will never DL anything GNR related ever again. It absolutely destroys the experience.

I am listening to the CD now for a week, bought it from amazon.de.
The extended version with the additional DVD.
And to me the record is simply great, basic rock tunes mixed with some punk elements.
Really a great record, nearly as good as Beautiful Disease and for sure better than Believe In Me or Dark Days.
I compared it to Duff's solo stuff too because he wrote most of the songs on "Sick".

Well I finally managed to pick it up yesterday and I must say I'm impressed, a very nice album with some pretty good songs on it. I'm especially digging Flatline it has got a very foo fighter'ish feel to it imo.

Just ordered 4 tickets for june!, can't wait to see duff again.

Review:  Sick

April 18, 2009 ET

Former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, who now holds that position in Velvet Revolver, also maintains a lower-profile career with this Seattle-based band. "Sick" is McKagan and Loaded's first album in eight years, so introductions may be in order: The lineup includes drummer Geoff Reading from Green Apple Quickstep and Alien Crime Syndicate guitarist Mike Squires and bassist Jeff Rouse. McKagan succeeds as a singer on these songs with simple, straightforward, honest and infectious hooks. He understands what people want from these tunes, which are lyrics they can sing along with and bop their heads to. He's particularly effective on "Translucent," which will have you instantly singing the words that you never heard before. Rock warrior McKagan even sounds comfortable on "Mother's Day" which could be described as soft punk.?Patrea L. Patterson

I wish people would read the liner notes before writing reviews... Jeff Rouse sings Translucent!
It's a fantastic album, and the musicians are all brilliant.  Jeff is probably one of the most under-rated bass players in the world right now.

It's funny... my favourite bass players in the world are all interconnected.

Duff McKagan and Tommy Stinson obviously both GN'R bass players.  And Jeff Rouse plays in Loaded, and also played as part of Tommy Stinson's backing band on the Village Gorilla Head tour in 2004.
