Pretty cool idea, but not much use for promoting an album.

A world tour creates a stir (and record sales) everywhere you go. A Vegas residency would only really create a stir in Vegas, I guess.

yea but Vegas is like everyone else's second home.  GnR would be a smash in Vegas.

something needs to change in this town because the economy here is going down the shitter faster than most places in the country.

GN'R outdoors or indoors, doesn't matter to me....But I would like to see/hear them tear up Jones Beach...The place goes absolutley nuts when they play WTTJ over the PA....The real thing would be wild..

As a new fan, I have to ask... is it really realistic to expect a new album so soon after CD? I mean, that took how many years to come out???

Is it true that this is part of a trilogy? Has Axl himself actually said that?

In the Q&A's on the forums Axl said that he always thought of Chinese Democracy as a double album and that he could envision releasing another album next year around the same time (Nov 09).  Of course in his most recent Q&A with Billboard he said that they weren't really thinking about another album at this time, they were concentrating on Chinese.  So take what you will out of that.  I'd say the material is definitely there, but it was there for many years before CD came out so....

I don't think it was ever specified for certain.  I'd assume it was fairly recently.  I don't think Billboard would sit on that for too long.

New Album Please!!!  ok

I'm loving Chinese Democracy, but just like when AFD came out Lies came out just over a year later and I remember listening to both of those albums a ton back in the day. Also the UYI albums where released together on the same day as we all know...and again I was aloud to indulge in a shit load of GN'R songs...So in keeping with GN'R lore, I think that Axl should follow the same style as the first time around (AFD/Lies) and put out another album a year after the release of CD. I think it would be awesome to have a band that releases what would seem like a double album everytime they release a record.  beer

New album, i prefer listening to new studio stuff (assuming it's good, but hey this is GNR so of course it will be!) rather than live gigs

no it wasn't. (and I find it rather odd)
but seeing as how the rockband thing was still slated for feb 28 then and I was thinking maybe it wasn't that recent and that 's why the date wasn't specified.

It's hard to decide for only one option. The last time I saw Axl Rose it was in 1992, so I have been waiting for a long time; despite today is a almost new line-up, I would love to see Axl Rose live, singing those awesome songs. On the other hand I am looking forward to listening new material, but a new record released this year, would harm Chinese Democracy sales, so I don't think Axl lunch the new record this year. So I guess I would rather the tour, world tour.

I love you Axl, but I'm also one of "those" Slash supporters haha...
