Not sure what I would prefer a tour or as Axl N' company have hinted at a new album for 2009...Don't get me wrong I am thouraghly enjoying CD, more tahn I expected.....I kept away the greedy thoughts of a new album until Axl stated possibly this time next year....
Curious what others prefer a tour or a new album.....

I am a selfish GNR fan so I'll say BOTH! hihi

If I had to choose, I'd take a new album over a tour seeing as they rarely come anywhere near me.

Either

A tour because I want this band to play this music live with a few classics mixed in

An album because I want more new songs

New record.

After the fifteen year gap between The Spaghetti Incident and Chinese Democracy, I'm still greedy for new material.

Knowing more music will b available, I choose tour first.  I know this sounds skepticle, but if Richard says possible tour to start in late March and to be on the road possibly 2 years,  another album next year Huh  In 06 they canceled some of the shows at the end of the tour to resume work on CD. I think he said something like same time next year. Meaning a new album could be out as soon as at end of 2009.

I don't doubt that they could both tour and put out the album.

Like you might know, Chinese Democracy was held up due to many things. Things that weren't necessarily related to the record itself.

Once you've managed to get through that storm, it's a lot sunnier on the other side and the continued journey is a lot smoother....

I think I'd rather see a tour.  I'm really curious to see how they're going to pull off all of these songs live, especially considering how difficult some of the vocals on the new songs would be to sing for Axl night after night (Shackler's, Scraped, etc).  I'm also curious to see who would pick up Robin's guitar parts, although I'm still hoping that Robin picks them up himself!.

well, both will be perfect, but if i had to choose, i'll say tour for summer. and, as axl said, we could expect a new album released at the end of the year. it will be perfect because, for me, a concert for the future with only songs released on chinese and other new albums  would be the best i could imagine.

I think I'd take a new album, but the memories built by going to a show is also invaluable.  IE/  That whole Monday on 5/15 from Mustang Harry's to getting on line at 3, to meeting all the people who traveled to come to NYC, then the show itself !

If it were totally up to me, I would like a US tour during the summer, and a new album by September.
