If that's true, you've got to admit that's a good number for one month on the market.  Maybe I'm just trying to rationalize, but that statistic puts a good spin on things.

it's just because it's not doing well in the us. I know it will change once videos and things come out. this album is going to take people hearing for them to be like I should go pick that up.

QFT

It isn't gonna have that kind of impact on the musical landscape. we don't even know if it will be a single at this point.

Seriously... its comments like that that have been making me  Roll Eyes every time I visit this site lately.

Absolutely ridiculous statement.  GNR could cover nursery rhymes and some people here would say it's the best album in the world  hihi

good start.

Grin leaving britney alone, I see other rock albums on the list are released much earlier than cd and already sold heavily in the us.

which comment you're referring to?? Huh sorry wouldn't make a good nursery rhyme. scom might save for the last verse.

^ah ok, that makes a lot more sense  ok

I still think you're wrong though  Smiley

Sorry is a good fan song b/c of the lyrics.  I personally find it kind of boring.  I don't think there are any songs on CD that will blow it up the way SCOM did for AFD.

This is exactly what I was talking about in that other thread.  Tongue

As soon as there's an opportunity for you to say something negative in the GN'R section, you're there posting.

This is the reason I joked that I wish you would be as supportive of GN'R as you are of all those other bands you like.

100% of what you said is based on guessing.

So both views are as valid. Either it'll effect sales or it won't.

But only yours is the negative one.....

And you still wonder why I think you come across as (somewhat) negative or a spoilsport in the GN'R section.....

Jarmo, do you think Sorry is going to have the impact for CD that SCOM had for AFD??

I don't think there is anything wrong with what D said.  Sure, both opinions might are guesses, but I would bet every penny that D is right in this case.  Infact, if most people here don't agree with him I'd be shocked.  There is being negative and then there is just being realistic.

Shouldn't the overly optimistic/unrealistic posts be ridiculed the way the blatantly negative/hater posts are?  one extreme is just as bad as the other if you ask me.

Jarmo, do you think Sorry is going to have the impact for CD that SCOM had for AFD??

Meaning it could make the album #1?

Why not?

Many of the songs could do that.... It all depends on many factors.

Worse songs have propelled albums to the top of the charts as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think there is anything wrong with what D said.

Of course you don't

I used his post as an example of something he keeps doing and then denying that he's doing it.  hihi

I disagree even though Sorry is a great song, I think If The World would have a greater impact.

Well, in my view, it is an album people have been wating for, and in my opinion a very good one,so not so suprised.

And for the whole sorry/sweet child thing you've got going here: sorry isn't sweet child, 2008-9 isn't 1988, chinese democracy isn't appetite and that makes the whole discussion pointless.

(and just to go back on my previous statment, if there is a song on cd that could be "chinese democracy's sweet child" it would prob. be prostitute. and i would know, 'cause i know stuff. lot of stuff)
