yeah i found this in a myspace group aimed at getting buckley to the UK christmas number 1.

it has over 85,000 members. might take quite a big effort to get above jeff.

on a related note, anyone feel like picking a CD song to push up the UK charts late january when sales are usually low?

Voted... but i don't understand. Hallelujah is an old song, and Jeff Buckley has been dead for a long time.
So as far as I'm concerned CD is in the lead right now, cause it's a song actually from 2008.

How is Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah from 2008?

because the winner of this years X Factor (UK =of American Idol) has covered it as their single (which will be Christmas No 1) so I guess absolute want to promote the original (and better) version, which is fair enough as the X Factor version is dull, boring and sung with no feeling (though she has a good voice)...  and maybe it has been re-released

voted but GnR 3rd behind Jeff and Coldplay  rant

That still doesn't make sense.  That would be like Zep re-releasing Stairway to Heaven and it being voted one of the top songs of 2008.
