dont know what Jones has left but should be a good fight.

It'll probably be a rubbish fight if either fighters last bouts are anything to go by. B-Hop will win, probably on points. Jones doesn't work hard enough.

anyone see hasim Rahman vs James Toney?
What a shitty fight this was, Toney was so fat it was crazy.
Rahman is the WBC champ, what a disgrace.
I still dont know why Tyson dont try one more comeback but fight men his size and leave those giants alone.
I think Tyson would KO Rahman in the 2nd round.Rahman has poor defense, gets hit a lot and Mike still has power. Mike's problem is, he has been fighting these guys 6 inches taller and 50 more pounds, they lay on him and wear him down.
A guy his size wouldnt be able to do that.

There was a great middle weight match 5.5 where Amin Asikainen 17-0 (13KO) met Christophe Tendil in the ring.
The Finn (Asikainen) was controlling the whole match and knocked Tendil out in round five with a hard right hook.
He won the EU middlewight championship belt with this one.
This was also the first time Tendil was knocked out to just give some perspective

Prince Naseem is "apparently" making a comeback within the next 6 months...he could probably fight at heavyweight at the moment! ;-)
He will probably have to...in the slammer

Barrera vs Juarez was a great fight!
I cant believe we get to watch Winky Wright vs Jumain Jones on Free HBO.
Thing is, this fight has a chance to be incredibly boring as both are defensive/counterpunch type fighters.
Hopkins vs Tarver wont be a good fight, Tarver will win hands down.

After vowing never to fight again, the 40-year-old Tyson will stage a series of four-round exhibitions, beginning on October 20 against longtime sparring partner Corey Sanders here at the Chevrolet Centre.
"This tour is going all over the world," Tyson said at a news conference on Thursday. "Europe, Asia, Middle East ... everybody is bidding in anticipation."
A former two-time heavyweight champion, Tyson announced his retirement from boxing after he lost to unheralded Irishman Kevin McBride on June 11, 2005.
Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) squandered an estimated $300 million in earnings and declared bankruptcy in 2003, but denied that debts is what forced him back into the ring.
"The money I make (from the exhibitions) isn't going to help my bills, but I feel better and won't be depressed," Tyson said.
"Mike Tyson's World Tour" is presented by Sterling McPherson of Sterling Promotions.
"Mike Tyson is one of the greatest fighters who've ever lived," McPherson said. "We're giving the public all over the world a chance to watch him box again. The best thing Mike can do is go around the world and meet people who have never met a star or an icon like Tyson."
Tyson spent the last month at the Aladdin Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, performing public workouts with trainer Jeff Fenech in a ring set up just outside the casino's buffet. The open sessions drew hundreds of fans.
"I was a little overweight, smoking too much, and I started to get in shape," Tyson said. "I was training in Las Vegas and 2,000 people a day were there. Why not do an exhibition?"
Always a fan draw, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion at age 20 in 1986. However, he has never been the same since losing to Buster Douglas in 1990 in one of boxing's biggest upsets.
Less than two years later, Tyson was convicted of rape and spent almost three years in prison.
In 1997, Tyson reached his low point in the ring when he bit a chunk out of Evander Holyfield's ear during a world title fight.
Sanders (23-10-1, 15 KOs) recorded an eighth-round knockout of newly crowned heavyweight Oleg Maskaev in 2002, but lost four straight fights after that.
Tyson's exhibition tour will also include other officially sanctioned boxing matches.
Former IBF lightweight champion Paul Spadafora will make his return to the ring after an absence of two-plus years. He was recently paroled after spending seven months in prison followed by a stint in a halfway house for the non-fatal shooting of his then-fiancee in 2003.
Spadafora (38-0-1, 15 KOs) captured the lightweight title in 1999 after winning a 12-round decision against Israel Cardona and made seven successful title defenses. The only blemish on his record is a 12-round draw with 2003 WBA lightweight champion Leonard Dorin.

Mayweather vs Hatton was definitely worth the 65 bucks I dropped down for it.
Boxing PPV's usually disappoint but this one did not.
ACtion packed, Exciting, And I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Excellent knock out for Mayweather.
He is awesome and u have to give credit where it is due.

it was an amazing knockout, but the ref spoilt the fighting, everytime hatton got close he pulled them apart and the point deducation was unreal.

It was a good punch from Mayweather, but Hatton knocked himself out headbutting the post.
Can't believe Hatton lost, and the scoring by the judges was abit questionable.

you actually thought the scoring from the judges would be fair?
that just doesn't happen in big fights in the US.

This is more interesting than talking about GnR, where there is actually no news!
Perhaps the GNR boards should be reduced to Child Boards and we should turn this into a Sports forum.
