This would be the ultimate stage to showcase this band's talent, and kick of a tour...

What a pointless topic. You may as well talk about how it would be cool if your bank slipped a couple of million your way and headline it: BumFuck Continental Bank = 2 Million Dollars Free For Every Customer ? ? ? ? ? ?

People rip on this "idea" or "wish", but I think it would be super cool!!

If your a sports fan, you would love to see something like this happen.  And as far as promoting yourself, or your band, this is a huge deal.  Millions and Millions of people watch this.  You are definately on center stage!

People who think this is stupid, I just don't get you?  Are you just not a sports fan?  Or do you think GN'R would be "selling out"?  Selling out, my ass!!  Your performing!!  It's not like your doing an direct TV ad (like Beyonce)

you mean 2010...

and yes... it would be sick. it's a short gig... but viewed by helluva lot of people!!!!

I've always found the Super Bowl shows weird for some reason. Even Prince had a shoddy performance... IMO. And it was fucking PRINCE!!!!

they are all sanitized for prime time TV.  Even the dumbest shit like changing a RS lyric or Prince's guitar looking like a phallic symbol are all criticized and scrutinized.  Hard to be rock n' roll when the FCC is watching your every move.

janet jackson's nipple really made it that much harder for other artists to just be themselves.

Anyways, I don't think Guns has the draw anymore to do the Superbowl.  CD would have to make some serious moves up the chart for that to happen, and I hope it does.

This happens EVERY YEAR.  Bruce is already playing the show, but it would be nice to see something related to GN'R!
