Tons of bands do this on a regulair basis now, Wayne Static of Static-X posts on his message boards regularity in fact.  Same with a bunch of the members of Buckcherry.

Axl is hardly the first person in a band to do this.

How surreal is it!!... Axl is very artistically minded and there is WAY more to him than meets the eye. Any bullshit the media, haters or any other random fucks who never did listen to guns have to say bad about Axl is in my mind now punched back in their face.

He could of just stopped everything and never released CD. He could of just basically walked away from everyone and all the bullshit he has been put through.

But he didnt. He delivered CD as promised. He gave us a world tour. And now is giving us the chance to express ourselves and ask the questions we may never thought we could, directly to him.

In my opinion this is the greatest frontman on earth, and in Aussie terms.. A fuckin' top bloke. I cant wait till the next tour, thanks for everything AXL/DEXTER!!!!...... Shane-o

That was never implied. But Axl is the first one to completely forego the press in favor of the fans' message boards. But I appreciate your observation.

See, this is the kind of shit that confirms that Axl is an amazing person. While he isnt the ONLY famous artist to 'chat' to fans online, I think from reading the transcript (thats right I wasnt fucking online at the time) he is probably one of the first to take ALL the questions and didnt just pick and choose what he wanted to answer. He answered shit that I wouldnt have thought he'd answer, or want to answer...And, obviously where possible, the man didnt pull any punches. He told it how he saw it as far as he was able.


So, anyway...Im in Australia (Newcastle, 2 hours north of Sydney) and am wondering what time MY TIME Id need to be online so that I could catch Axl next time he is on here?


Oh, and nope, Im not suicidal nor upset or even shitty at myself for missing it...Im just happy that it happened and stoked for all the fans who were involved.


I do have another question...How did you guys know it was actually Axl (not saying it wasnt him, it obviously was, but just curious)? And one more...Is there somewhere I can read the entire thing from when he logged on to when he left???

And regarding when to be online for the next q&a session, well, it caught me completely off guard when it happened the first time, so I don't know if it was announced ahead of time (I don't believe it was)...I guess you just got to check back often to see if anything's going down...that's what I do. That and losing a shitload of sleep at night.

Seeing as I spend so much time on this site, I've been kinda bummed about missing the chat here and at mygnr and not getting to ask Axl any questions, but after I was at CD.com this time yesterday and actually saw AXL ROSE POSTING WHILE I WAS THERE I got such a kick out of that that I forgot about the whole thing! Now I'm just hoping to be able to shoot him a question at later oppertunity
