Collegue's daughter has gone missing in Budapest

I don't know if you get this in the news, but it's been two days now that a french student has gone missing in Budapest.
She is an au pair studying on the erasmus program and was out night clubbing and disappeared on the bridge that separates one side of Budapest from the other. All they found was her handbag.

I don't know how to do, because her father works in my building.

I would like to buy a huge card so we can all sign and give the couple messages of support, but i don't know if it is the right thing to do ?

I feel bad for them, because as of one, their daughter has vanished, but it's also at christmas time.

All the building is very concerned for this man.
