Mail from Chris Pitman:

Quote
SexTapes first Gig, Last night!  Dec. 9th

We finally got our zhit together and did a live gig,  of course under the name of FREEPORN,  as we are testing the waters, so to speak.   But it went really great despite a few screw ups,  but hey,  thats why its a test gig.   But all in all it went great and the crowd was fun and crazy.    Can?t wait to do it again,  Im addicted!      We are now very confident with the show and will present shows in LA very shortly.

One Gig in the future is with,  Pygmy Love Circus, Sturgeon,  and SexTapes at the Key Club Hollywood on Feb. 5th

There is talk of a future major tour with a HUGE Rock Band,  but that will take some time to figure out if it happens.

Meanwhile,  we are expecting SexTapes to be include in a Major Television Series very soon,  I?ll let you know

It's a cool album and I'm glad they're doing shows. If it's not GNR that he's talking about then that doesn't bode well for a Guns tour, obviously. But I'm glad these guys are real musicians, real creative artists, putting out music constantly and really working at it. I hope releasing material or promoting material the same time as Chinese Democracy has helped their various causes, rather than overshadowed it.

I hope it's not Tool because that would be bad news for a GNR tour next year. If they opened for GN'R that would be awesome. Sextapes rocks!

Sextapes would be awsome opening for GNR.  I think Pitmans profile would go way up, their music is damn good.

he's absolutely opening for gnr!  that's just too perfect.  he comes out, rocks the crowd with the opening set, then hands things over to gnr and takes his place with the main act.  it would really  help promote his new band/album, while also helping to keep all the gunners entertained and making the show even more gnr than it would be with a different opening act.

Though GNR are bigger, Tool are still a pretty big deal and I doubt Maynard would want to be anyone's support act at this stage.

Naa. Maynard is workin on Puscifer now. He is doing some shows in January with that project. And it is said that he will be back with Tool later this year to work on theyr new record. It could be GnR.. Coz if GnR is touring, then it has to be them.. Cris Wont leave for a tour with another band, if GnR was doing a tour

According to Pitman, "There is talk of a future major tour with a HUGE rock band, but that will take some time to figure out if it happens.
I wonder if he is refeering to GN'R touring, or Sextapes opening for someone perhaps GN'R..
SEXTAPES, the Hollywood, California-based band featuring GUNS N' ROSES keyboardist Chris Pitman on vocals and guitar synth, will perform with PIGMY LOVE CIRCUS and STURGEON at the Key Club in Hollywood, California on February 5, 2009. According to Pitman, "There is talk of a future major tour with a HUGE rock band, but that will take some time to figure out if it happens. Meanwhile, we are expecting SEXTAPES to be include in a major television series very soon."

SEXTAPES recently played a live show under the name FREEPORN, "as we are testing the waters, so to speak," says Pitman. "But it went really great despite a few technical difficulties, but hey, that's why its a test gig. But all in all, it went great and the crowd was fun and crazy. Can't wait to do it again; I'm addicted! We are now very confident with the show and will present shows in L.A. very shortly."

SEXTAPES released its self-titled debut album on November 11, 2008 via ToneRiot Records. The CD was made available through iTunes (worldwide), Best Buy stores, FYE, Borders Books, Wherehouse Records, Amazon.com, and more.

Pitman shares, "I'm glad to finally get this album out there as it was just finished this summer. Between my involvement with GUNS N' ROSES and the band's high expectations for a solid and unique hard rock sound, we're stoked to finally have a great record that we're proud to release to our fans."

Music all sounds the same today, so SEXTAPES has created what they would brand as future hard rock. The music is best classified as a bit psychotic, but with plenty of melody mixing up the punk and psychedelic overtones.

SEXTAPES consists of co-writer/founding member Kelly Wheeler on guitars, Marko Fox on bass, Ryan Brown on the drums and co-writer/producer Chris Pitman on lead vocals and guitar synth.

The band originated out of sheer perverse amusement with a series of informal jams by Wheeler and Fox in a cluttered garage. There, amid a bewildering array of audio electronics in every conceivable state of condition, promising sonic experiments continued with slated vocalist Pitman's enthusiastic blessings, even though he was about to embark on a mammoth tour as an integral part of GUNS N' ROSES. Between playing multiple instruments (for studio recording and live in concert), co-writing and co-producing for the new GN'R album, "Chinese Democracy", he is also a co-writer with frontman Axl Rose of the song "If The World" in the new Warner Bros. Pictures and Ridley Scott film "Body Of Lies".

Recorded at The Pass Studios in Hollywood where rock legends like SMASHING PUMPKINS recorded "Zeitgeist" and the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS recorded "Stadium Arcadium", the debut album was produced and mixed by Chris Pitman. All songs are written by Kelly Wheeler and Chris Pitman.

I bought the CD and it came as a CD-R with a cheap label on it. LOL. The music is alright.
