I really wish Barack would calm down on the health care push.... I do think he is forcing too much too fast..  I don't like that.  We have so much shit going on, I want to make sure we get the health care thing right. 

I understand we need to fix the health care system, but I don't get the big rush? Don't they want to get it right for the American People? We're talking about a trillion dollars here.....

So many bills so far have been rushed to a point where Congress can't even read the whole thing before the vote on it happens.

Yeah, I mean the defense budget is only what? 600-700 billion? There's no way health care can be afforded.

If the economy is turning improving (not necessarily "good"...just "better") by the time his reelection comes around, I think he's safe.  If we're still deep in the ditch, he'll likely lose.  But I think it'll turn around by then.  The real key will be to reduce the deficit in the next three years.  That's where he'll be weakest.

You may hate the guy, but you can't argue with what he said.

Exmample, yesterday I go to local hospital to see an orthopedic doctor on the Dr. James Andrews team.  My physical test says I have a strained pec tendon, the ultrasound says the same, but the docs still are not sure, they send me downstairs for an MRI, and I have a tear.  I need surgery.  I am scheduled for Tuesday with the famed Dr. James Andrews (surgeon to the stars) for Surgery to reattach my tendon to the bone.  I paid a $25 copay and $175 for the MRI and all of this was done within a couple hours.  No long wait.  No extra cost to see Dr. Andrews.... I am asking myself, WTF is so horrible about what happened yesterday?  He is considered one of the finest orthopedic doctors in the WORLD.  And I just called on Wendesday.. Appt. Friday, Surgery next Tuesday.  What other country can you say the same thing would have happened?  There isn't one.  We do need to change healthcare, I agree, but some parts of our health care we do a great job at.  I am lucky to be able to see a doctor like this.

This is what you republicans aren't understanding.   Sure, healthcare is fine for those who have the means to afford proper coverage.   Good for you Smoking Guns.  You are lucky to have the coverage you have, but many in this country aren't so lucky.

Republicans tend to have this nationalistic chip on their shoulder that everything in America is better than everything everyone else, and if you disagree, you hate America.   

The World Health Organization ranks USA's healthcare at #37.. right between Costa Rica and Slovenia.  Great isn't it?
