Obama is like having Michael Jordan on a basketball team with a bunch of bench warmers from a local high school team. Ya, they can "play" basketball, but they aren't really basketball players and they inturn make Jordan look dumb as well. This has to be one of the worst cabinets ever assembled, especially considering Obama's huge potential and upside.

People I feel should be axed from Obama's Staff:
Director of Homeland Security Janet Napalitano: Its Obvious she is not qualified and is in over her head.
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs: No need to comment, guy is a blooming idiot
Timothy Geithner: just because he is a cheat, a weasle, and is in bed with everyone
Attorney General: I don't like his style or delivery and question his experience. Says dumb stuff as well.
While we are at it, get rid of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

Biden was honest, but fucking Janet Napalitano and David Gibbs are two of the biggest fucking idiots on the planet. Does anyone here hear these dolts talk? The ramble and rarely make any sense. They are NOT intellegent, especially for people that represent the most powerful nation in the world. The fucking Pro Obama press can't even handle their stupidity and they fucking laugh at them poking fun.
Freedom 78, atleast admit how embarassing these two are. Do you really think these are the best he could have gotten for their respective roles? I think he gave Janet the job mainly because she is a woman.
Also, I am not for torture, but this dirty laundry they are airing out is NOT right AT ALL! They were not in the position in 2001 or 2002 to make the decisions ones before them made. We were in a crisis, people make mistakes, but what they are doing now is not doing anything productive. All Barack had to say was, "we won't tolerate terrorism in this administration" and be done with it. I see no positive or "lesson" learned. The only lesson I learned is to keep family stuff inside the family if you have the choice. Barack is a puppet and was forced to air this out to make his supporters happy.
Did you watch the press briefings before Gibbs? Laughing was a part of it under Bush, and he had three different Press Secretaries. The Press Secretaries are asked tough questions and have to think on their feet. No one else in an administration is as constantly available to the press. So, yeah, they fuck up sometimes. Now, given that you didn't quote Gibbs or Napolitano, it's tough to respond. The only accusation is that they're "two of the biggest fucking idiots on the planet", which makes me think you have them confused with Bush and Condi (who, by the way, just gave her excuse for torture as "By definition, if it was authorized by the President, it did not violate our obligations under the convention against torture." ....does that mean the President can order us murdered, SG?).
@ "Barack is a puppet"

Obama is getting a big pass on this forum.
If Bush had talked about the Special Olympics, he'd been blasted on here
If Bush's Prompter went out and he stumbled and bumbled and waited for it to get fixed.
if the same thing happened with Biden, there would be 1000 posts on here about it killing Bush
The Special Olympics? Going deep into the vault for that one, aren't we? Not sure what prompter issue you're talking about, as I didn't see it. Your only complaints seem to be about little things. The reason Bush got flack for the little things is because he also horribly fucked up all the big things. So, yeah, sometimes you get a pass, if you've also demonstrated in other areas that you're competent and intelligent and didn't just get the job because of your Daddy's last name.
Now, if we've got substantive criticisms, I'm happy to address 'em.
Why wasn't Janet Man Enough to come down tougher on the Swine Flu when it first broke? Why does she appear to be so Weak? Why do I expect you to say, "she seems intelligent and strong"? Ha. If we weren't such pussies with our border, we would be a healthier nation today.
Nonsense. They have swine flu in Australia, because FUCKING AUSTRALIANS went to FUCKING MEXICO. TOURISM! Shit. Do you honestly think a disease respects a border? "Hey, you! Keep that plague on your side!" Have you considered that some Mexicans have passports and are allowed to visit the US?

Are the GOP the ones on the other team, doing their best to grab the ball and run away from the court, so that the other team can't score?

Holder? His experience as ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL isn't good enough to be ATTORNEY GENERAL? That's like arguing that a VP shouldn't be able to step in as President in the event of assassination..."just not enough on the job experience!"
Anyway, while we're making lists:
People I'd like to see axed:
Social conservatives.
Snowe can stay, but I think that eliminates about 39 Senators and their hate of our Constitution.

FREEDOM AND EVERY OBAMA MANIAC, STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO LOWLIFE, PATHETIC, TERRIBLE EX PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH. Try for once to have a come back that doesn't say, "well, who did bush have", "or what did bush do"... We know he fucked up all the time. This is change. This is new. Same ole, same ole, blame everyone but yourself.
Dude, Gibbs tried to say what Biden "meant" to say and vommited all over himself in doing so. The press called him out on the back tracking and flat out lying. Turn on the news for once and watch.
Janet could be as serious as Europe is in saying, "No more passengers from Mexico allowed with out getting quarintined and passing physicals. She gave up too soon. Again, we are in America, stop comparing us to Austrailia or other countries that haven't ruled the word in 300 years. My main point is we have a border problem and Janet just acts like, "well, it was coming here anyway so what does it matter..." It matters because we are fucking trying to contain it Janet.
Freedom, I suggest you start watching these press conferences more, I know you don't get what is going on.
Holder seems angry and racist to me. No need to start talking about how America is a nation of cowards. That stupid comment alone makes me wonder if he is ready for prime time. He is also still consumed with trying to play, "gotcha" with the bush administration. I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. I AM STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE. AT THIS POINT, I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT A TERRORIST THAT WAS TORTURED 5 YEARS AGO AND MAY OR MAY NOT GIVEN US GOOD INFO. Call me selfish, but lets focus on bigger fish, seriously. We apologized for 2 solid weeks when Barack made his world tour. I think they have forgiven us.

I'm not aware that I've ever compared myself to Bush, but I will now. Freedom78 is better that Bush. There. I did it.
Anyway, my comparison to Bush PSs wasn't a negative one, so much as to show a trend. Not sure what the beef is there. Also, while we're on this, what's the fascination with putting strict limits on a topic? Are we too infantile around here to grasp a comparison? I say "well, Australia got it too" and your response is "NEVER MIND THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN! Australia is insignificant!" Seriously, I don't get it. It's not a black n' white world. There's nuance there. So why act like there isn't? Of course, I note that your comment about why I shouldn't talk about Australia comes two sentences after saying we should take the European approach (as if that giant fucking ocean doesn't make it a whole heluva lot easier to restrict travel).
Now, since you FINALLY brought up a real comment, a la "nation of cowards", then lets address it. I'm going to begin by backtracking the unnuanced, sound byte box you've tried to cram it in. Here's the exact quote:
"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards."
OK, so what's the problem? He's saying we're afraid to honestly deal with our racial issues...aren't we to a large extent? Hell, a bunch of Southern states are claiming that we don't need the Voting Rights Act, which ensures that changes can't be made to election laws that would be discriminatory in practice. Their reasoning? We elected a black man. I wonder if they're aware of the irony that most of the states worried about this act did NOT, in actuality, cast their electoral college votes for that same black man. No, we don't deal honestly with race at all. If we did, we'd call a spade a spade, and point out that the GOP, every election, undertakes activities to lower minority turnout. We'd talk about how racially charged much of the campaign against Obama was. Has there been an ethnic group outside of the White/Protestant fold that hasn't been mistreated in coming to this country? Blacks, obviously, but also the Irish, Japanese, Mexicans (which is our dumbed down name for anyone from Latin America)...the list goes on. We have a race problem. And the right can dismiss it as groups "needing to pull themselves up by their bootstraps" all they want, but something like an economic disparity between races is a primary cause of ethnic conflict in much of the world, so it's a serious issue whether it fits into an ideological box or not.

Drew, all of that's meaningless. You want important!!?? Senator Arlen Specter is now officially a Democrat!
dude where you been..Specter has been a democrat for 30 years...oh and its great to have someone who ONLY cares about his political career in the senate...well actually thats most of them anyway, so he fits right in...
Bodhi, you'll notice I said "now officially."
He supports embryonic stem cell research...just like any intelligent, rational person would. He obviously realizes his viewpoint doesn't fly with hard right-wing Republicans. The GOP's hard right turn didn't do well in '06 or '08...the writing's on the wall.
any intelligent rational person has seen that republicans are not against embryonic stem cell research, they just dont think the taxpayers should have to pay for it..big difference..but the democrats believe the taxpayers should have to pay for everything anyway..including people who dont belong here....awesome..man I wish I was on your intelligent rational side...

I am suggesting exactly that. He hired people not because of experience, but for other reasons. There is no way in hell Gibbs or Janet are the two best out there for what they do, and the fact you defend their hires tells me more than ever how much you are in bed with Barry... I'm more than willing to discuss those areas where I feel he is wrong. I'm just not as hung up on the cabinet as you are. Policy matters more.
As for qualifications, yes Napolitano and Geithner are qualified. She was governor of a border state...seems relevant to homeland security. He was President of a Federal Reserve Bank...seems relevant to being at Treasury. Now, you may not LIKE them, but that doesn't mean they aren't qualified. Your criticisms seem to be a series of personal attacks coupled with a willingness to blow things out of proportion. Now you've resorted to calling the cabinet affirmative action hires (one can only wonder what you think of the President himself...perhaps he married Michelle to increase the rate of black First Ladies, too?). And isn't that just the way of right wing politics? Tell blacks and women to pull themselves up, and then cast them down as AA hires when they've done so. What a fucking joke.

Freedom, the Fed is a Private company that part of the problem of our monetary system. The guy can't even pay his own taxes and he caters to the AIG's and Goldman Sachs of the world.
Sara Palin lives in a border state and almost touches Russia, tell me again how that makes her qualified to be the director of homeland security much less President. Janet said that 911 terrorists came in through Canada... WRONG. She also tried to say that yesterday Biden meant to say, "I would suggest to my family not to visit Mexico", he didn't say anything close to that. She also said, "since there is already swine flu in the us, there is no point in trying to contain it in mexico by shutting down the border". She seems "too" passive to me and didn't attack the swine flu hard enough, nor did she appear to take it serious. It may or may not be a threat, but at least act like you give a damn. She seems like a big wus!
Bob Gibbs is a nice guy I am sure, but he gets beat up by a PRO OBAMA White House media.... Imagine how bad the O'Reilly's and Hannity's would tear that clown up.
Obama has done some good things, his staff isn't one of them.

She seems like a big wus!
you listen to Micheal Savage don't you?
You don't even have your facts straight. Go dig up the correct quote Napolitano gave to explain Biden's statement. Had nothing to do with Mexico at all.

Bob Gibbs is a nice guy I am sure, but he gets beat up by a PRO OBAMA White House media.... Imagine how bad the O'Reilly's and Hannity's would tear that clown up.

and you have any evidence that the WH media is pro-Obama? I don't see it.

Obama has done some good things, his staff isn't one of them.
Yes, I realize the Fed is private, but it's also incredibly relevant to his current post.
Sarah Palin? I thought we weren't allowed to compare the Obama administration to any past or potential administrations? Your rules, not mine. But regardless, a maritime border through freezing waters is hardly the same illegal immigration threat as the 2000 mile border that is river and land.
O'Reilly and Hannity aren't legit journalists, so I'm sure they'd beat him up pretty badly, with distorted "facts". I couldn't care less about how they would treat him. They're not credible as seekers of the truth (especially Hannity).
Anyway, apparently the WSJ is reporting that the swine flu may have originated in southern California, and not Mexico. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124113876438075685.html

Damn. Apparently I underestimated Mr. Gibbs's ability to handle Hannity. So easy to point out the fallacy of guilt by association.
And before SG tries to claim that Hannity is a real journalist, just watch that vid and tell me he isn't out there to smear him.

Anyone who thinks Sarah Palin would make a great leader needs to watch her interview with Katie Couric.
And if Gibbs is so horrible with the WH Press Core, then they are doing their job and keeping him on his toes. Thats hardly pro-Obama.

But, did you ever see Tony Snow get so pissed? Seriously, and the guy was living with Cancer and was smooth. Gibbs = Fail. Janet = Fail. Geithner = Fail. All three of them are out of their league. I would argue that Freedom, A4P, Jim Bob and myself could all do better jobs. What have they done we couldn't have done? NOTHING.
These people are supposed to be EXPERTS. They are not.

Bush hovered at 54-56% approval up through 9/11. Seems like the public was willing to give him some time to prove himself.

absolutely. I didn't start losing support for the Bush admin until the Iraq war.
I've been honest and upfront about this all along. I fell for the WMD's bullshit hook, line, and sinker. I remember being quite happy about the invasion and the capturing of Saddam. I remember cussing out the tv while watching on C-Span the French nightly news. The French reporters were poking holes in Colin Powell's presentation to the U.N. I remember being very pissed...but then...as more information started coming out...it was gut-wrenching to learn our leaders at the very top were linking Al-Qaeda with Saddam (never happened), scaring us with the, "we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud," (bullshit, Iraq had no means to create a nuclear bomb)...and omitting overwhelming intelligence that contradicted the older, less reliable intel. they used to justify the invasion.
It absolutely sickens me to think of the tens of thousands who died because of what our nation did. So the next jack-off that wants to get pissed when President Obama is meeting with world leaders and apologizing for the misdeeds of our nation, just think about what our nation did for two seconds.
Next issue...enemy combatants. Yee-haw! Let's take away all their rights under international law, right? I mean, hey, they must be bad guys, right? We'll only label them "enemy combatants" until the war is over, right? Oh, wait a minute, that's right...the "War on Terror,"...when does the War on Terror end? That's a trick question. The "War on Terror" never ends and we all know that. You could have Bin Laden's head on a platter, but it doesn't end the war. Terrorism will always exist.
So will jerkoff Hannity accept Olbermann's challenge? I'd love to watch Hannity get waterboarded. Now that would be must-see tv. Listen, if you support torturing suspected enemies who may in fact be innocent, that's fine. I'll disagree with you, but that's your opinion. However, for people to bury their heads in the sand and say waterboarding isn't torture, they are flat-out fucking wrong!
