but a good portion of the rioting outside of the G20 wasn't aimed at Obama.

that's it. Sorry Smoking Guns but the world isn't/wasn't revolving around obama then yet.

The riots were linked to his gigantic spending plans.  So not Obama, but his policy yes.

Isn't it unpatriotic of some of you not to support your President in these tough times?

Move to China!

We all support Barack, but you can have discussions.  Just like we all support Axl, but we have a message board to discuss him and Guns.  I don't see the difference.

Has anyone noticed when people need justification for Obama's actions they say, "well Bush did it..." WTF is that?  I hate that shit.  We all know Bush sucked, why compare yourself to him if he is such a loser.

I do think John Stewart is pretty smart and damn funny.

I don't think it's so much a justification of Obama as pointing out the ridiculous levels of hypocrisy in his since-day-one critics.

Freedom, I agree, and you know what?  I don't fucking care!!!!  Everyone time there is a new pres we hear the same shit.  Move the fuck on.  Bush can't help us or hurt us anymore now, so why waste time talking about his dumbass.  Yes, there is hypocrisy, but on both sides.

I also tend to not care.  If at the end of his term(s) the only favorable light we can cast on Obama is that he was better than Bush...well, it will have been a long 12-16 years by that point.

In just a couple months, Fox News switched from being a mouthpiece for the white house to organizing some crazy "revolution".

They were annoying before but now they are just out of their motherf%%%ing minds.  It's like watching Mad TV but with crazed bible thumpers and other right wing loons.  It's not really that funny but you kind of have to just stand there with your mouth gaping open.

Bitterness sure has some weird effect on some people.

I dunno.  Olberman was pretty hard on Obama the other day for the wiretapping thing.

Wow, if that is the case, Kudos to Keith for finally being objective.....

Its not objective, its reality!   Obama and Holder are fucking up big time with the wire-tapping thing.  It was wrong when Bush did it, its wrong for Obama to do it.

you can't even compare Beck to Olbermann.

Both are very opinionated, but while Beck is funny, Olbermann is just bitter.

U.S. Destroyer Reaches Scene of Pirate Attack off Horn of Africa
Captain Still Being Held; Navy Taking Lead in Seeking Release

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/04/09/AR2009040901304.html?hpid=topnews

I really wish the American Military would use this oportunity to 'scare' away this type of pirate attack. The thing is these aren't radical terrorists hell bent on bringing down a way of life... these are 'business men' who started by protecting their waters from illegal dumping and illegal fishing, but then realized there was financial gain in seizing these ships.

If it is true that the captain is being held on a small lifeboat currently, the US Navy should launch the closest carrier based attack wing and mount an airstrike against the pirates comand ship that launches the attack skifs, then send a SEAL team or Marine EU into rescue the captain. Once they realize that we are willing to retaliate instead of negotiate their tactics will most likely change.

I wouldn't mind seeing such an overwhelming use of force, here, that it sends a very loud message.

So this is true?

Love abroad, hate at home
While Europeans embraced President Obama's candour, to the US right he was attacking America

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama with some European fansrofl

Barack Obama's latest round of nation-hopping calls to mind the last time he went abroad - not only the international lovefest part, but how it was immediately attacked back home by the US right.

I guess you missed the tens of thousands that protested and rioted.....  Nobody has done that in America of the President, only in Europe.

I personally can't stand the guy, but a good portion of the rioting outside of the G20 wasn't aimed at Obama. There were a considerable amount of wacko's claiming that money was the worlds problem and that it should be abolished. God Bless the Anarchists...

The anti-obama protests over here seemed largely centered in Turkey.  In the UK during the G20 it was more anti-bankers and greed, Climate Campaigners, stop the war - and the ever over-riding feeling of hopelessness in that our own PM is a horrific windbag that prefers to tout his so-called economical "brilliance" on the world stage and completely ignore the ever-rotting state of the UK more and more...  Obama does look rather glowing from where we're sitting with our lot in Govt over here.  Although Gordy is keen to blame America for the world's financial problems - he did precious little to keep things under control here during his 10 YEARS as chancellor before becoming our PM.  I wish more people would riot about Gordon Brown here and abroad.  sorry for slight off-topic, i get very riled by the state of UK politics!

I don't know exactly what Obama's roll was in the Rescue of the Captain from the Pirates, but he gave approval, so good job for Obama there and what badass Navy Seals we have.  I like how we executed our plan and it worked!
